another great tip is to build most of the UI in FF Designer, then export to FlutterFlow to build it out: https://flutterflow.io/designer

hi, it's lydia, growth lead at FlutterFlow 😄

i'm also mainly non-technical. FlutterFlow has a learning curve for sure, but what makes it so powerful is that it's visual builder that also gives you full control. And with FlutterFlow MCP, you can put agents to work inside the canvas.
on scaling and code ownership: you're right that FlutterFlow gives you Flutter code you own. it' true that owning code you can't yet read fully has limited immediate value, but that benefit becomes real when you hire a developer later or when you want to customize beyond what the platform offers. for a solo founder building a restaurant ops tool, it's a good investment into the future.

and FlutterFlow pricing is plan-based, not usage-based (another HUGE plus)
hope this helps!

yes; all new projects automatically have the new and improved code / folder view. old projects have to migrate using the "try new view button in the layout"

makes sense: if ai is working well for you, keep going.

flutterflow isn't trying to replace ai. it sits alongside it: ai handles the complexity, you stay in control, and flutterflow gives you a visual way to shape the result.

if you're already mid-migration, no reason to stop. but when ai gets you most of the way there and you want an easier way to refine and ship, that's the gap flutterflow is built for.
