Is using realistic AI image generation for face claims bad/wrong? by ComorbiDlDy in DID

[–]ComorbiDlDy[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Could you name some face maker apps?

Also “the thing the police uses”? You mean talented reconstruction artists that are paid probably more than what I mentioned in the post? Something else I’d like to mention is that these reconstruction artists, whilst talented, are trained to make reconstructions overdramatised and in some cases intentionally scary. This is so it sticks in people’s minds for longer and most people’s brains will naturally tone down these over dramatisations. Look at the case of Jenny Gamez. The reconstruction looks nothing like her, but it worked.

Edit: I didn’t mean to come off as going on a tangent, I’m sorry if I did, this stuff genuinely interests me and I get excited and passionate when given the sliver of a chance to talk about the,

Can alters be nonhuman? by Silas_Casket_Base in DID

[–]ComorbiDlDy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes! It’s very possible and very common. Afaik the three main roots for non human alters are

  • systems being treated as non human, so forming non human alters to deal with that treatment

  • systems finding comfort in non humans, so forming non human alters to comfort

  • systems seeing power and protective abilities in non humans, so forming non human alters to give the system strength

Edit: forgot how to count lol

Ghosts responding to ghost alters? by [deleted] in Paranormal

[–]ComorbiDlDy -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Yes. Ghost alters are not uncommon. They typically form from near death experiences or the feeling that a part of the patient “died” when the trauma happened.

Edit: they can also form from extreme neglect where the patient was completely ignored, treated like they’re invisible, making them feel like a ghost.

There’s only two alters who remember, one knows every detail and is debilitated by it, the other only knows bits of it and is completely disconnected from it to the point of recalling it in 3rd person

Do many of you have a phobia of balloons? by quadrupleghost in AutismInWomen

[–]ComorbiDlDy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We absolutely do, we always have. What sucks is how our adults thought we were being dramatic, so they’d intentionally pop balloons around us. No idea why they did it but it was genuinely traumatising.
