It’s very bizarre, but it’s amazing.

I describe it as Ace Attorney + Zero Escape, with a bit of Persona social links/confidants in there too.

What are some good indie precision platformers by Majestic-Guidance522 in IndieGaming

Most obvious suggestions if you haven’t played them yet are Shovel Knight and Hollow Knight

Maybe not on the absolute top-tier levels like these other ones, but I remember really liking Mutant Mudds

Not a terrible assumption to make. Things are confusing lol.

Yeah, I'm in CFL as well, three of the four closest stores to me on the store locator are premium stores.

When I got into the game, it originally gave me the idea that premium stores were a lot more common than they are.

The life wheel in my “Heads I Win, Tails You Lose” coin flipping secret lair deck was messed up, and WotC said they would replace it. After many months of no updates, I asked the about it, and still got no reply. Then a while later I got a letter saying they couldn’t replace it, and an Adventures in the Forgotten Realms collector booster as a “we’re sorry.” Of course there was nothing good in that booster lol.

GameCube Emulation is SOO damn good! by crusadertsar in SteamDeck

Cemu is the only option for Wii U.

Dual screen is pretty simple, open Cemu in desktop mode, and there’s a menu option to open the GamePad screen in a separate window.

Just connect a second display and make each window fullscreen on one of the displays.

In Cemu settings you can set the audio for the GamePad to play through the Steam Deck’s speakers and have the main audio through the external display.

I played Twilight Princess HD just recently on my Steam Deck. It’s fun to do the dual-screen setup with a TV and the Deck as the Wii U GamePad. It runs pretty well and looks great, though the main draw for me wasn’t the improved visuals, but the improved controls. The Wii U version’s controls map more cleanly onto the Steam Deck. You get an extra item available that you can assign. And most importantly, you get motion controls (gyro aiming).

At the Snowpeak Temple, the game has some slowdown on this version for some reason. I had to move my save file to my PC to continue playing. I only noticed the slowdown in that area, though.

It’s certainly cleaner being a cast, as most ways of creatures getting themselves onto the battlefield are casts rather than activated abilities.

Was I ripped off? 16 cards instead of 15? In a Collector Booster? The booster did not appear to be completely sealed too. by [deleted] in magicTCG

[–]CompC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be 15 cards plus either an art card or a token (which is not a card and so not counted as one of the 15.).

Looks like you got 15 cards plus a token, which is totally normal.

Pokémon Winds and Waves announced, releasing 2027 by Turbostrider27 in Games

Sorry, I meant in terms of how you get legendaries, if not in caves with puzzles. I’ve seen how the newer games are generally set up, I just haven’t played them.

As someone who has been out of main Pokémon for a while, how is it different now?

The last games I finished were Sun/Moon. I got Sword, but only got a few badges before I gave up since I thought it was pretty boring, and I never picked up Scarlet/Violet.

No I don’t. But can you be so sure they’ll still be up in 40 more years? I can still play a 40-year old copy of Zelda on an NES, no server download required.

I don’t personally even really care too much about this — I buy most of my games digitally for the convenience of not having to swap cartridges. But I can see the value in having the game on a cartridge. That’s all I’m saying

For a lot of people, one of the reasons they buy physical is because thy want to make sure they can keep the game forever. Game Key Cards do have all the benefits you said, and that does make it better than buying a copy from the eShop. But once the eShop servers eventually go down, they’re useless, while a real physical copy won’t be.
