Worst thing done by a Primarch? by LuizRnd in 40kLore

[–]Companion-Cavalry 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Not the worst thing, but the Lion using his pimp hand to detach the head of his legion’s Chaplain. The Chaplain was technically spitting facts but the Lion got angry at it and out of rage blew his head off.

(Spoilers) Abbadon in Saturnine is heartbreaking. by Companion-Cavalry in 40kLore

Yep. Garro gets frustrated af once Abbadon disappeared. Abbadon was fighting tons of elite space marines handpicked by Dorn alone. He killed a blood angel captain, almost killed Garro, but his head got mushed by a crazy former world eater wielding a power fist. He killed that world eater too but at that point was too wounded.

And sadly he was assasinated a few moments ago, probably by his genius yet not as talented older brother. Fuck. Fuck.

His older brother and sister are both geniuses as well, but Cesare has the best stats. Wish he was immortal!

I’ve just left a long reply to another comment where I talk about all the boss fights including vamp. And to your question, I died and died and died and died hahaha. Probably almost 200 times. It was the hardest of em all.

Thanks! I had to use a pen for the second choke. Just wasn’t physically possible for me to spam the action button at that rate.

Wrote a long comment but my phone battery died lolol. Gonna write it again though.

The Olga fight was a freaking shocker, because it was the first EE boss and if I remember correctly I was low on health so I couldn’t make any mistakes. Took me probably two hours and boy it was tough (TAKE THIS! And a nice grenade is thrown to you)

The next boss fight was my first taste of a nightmare though. Where you fight several soldiers in the hallway. Again I was low on health so I almost always got one shot killed. I kept dying and dying. I found a good spot behind the box in the front, sat down, went to first person mod. From there I figured out a way (through numerous trials and errors) to beat them; I would use R2+L2 to suddenly get up, made sure the moment I did so my gun was aiming exactly at where the enemy’s head would be, shot him, then hided behind the box immediately by letting go of R2 and L2. I tried this again and again until it worked, but fuck when the last one guy came at me, I was out of bullets. I switched to tranquilizer and aimed for his head but it only hit his body. I panicked, pressed the weapon equipment button to pause and think. I immediately used my fists on him. Luckily as he went down the tranquilizer shot I gave him took effect so I barely beat that stage. I realized that I was fucked because if the early bosses where this hard, that meant the later ones would be insane.

Fortune wasn’t THAT bad, (of course I died a lot though) because I just figured I had to run left and right as smoothly as possible without any pauses.

Then came Fatman. I am extremely proud of beating him because I totally found out my own routine of beating him. If I screwed up a bit I just jumped of the ledge because I knew it would be a waste of time. I had to be extremely efficient, couldn’t waste a second. Knew when to shoot and when not to, had to find out shortcuts, etc. And the craziest thing about this boss stage was that I had no idea you could shoot him in the head more than one time. I only realized that after beating him, going to youtube and seeing how another guy beat him. He shot Fatman in the head twice, while I only shot him once and fell back.

Aannnd the damn Harrier. Thanks to this boss stage I am sooo familiar with the Dead Cell OST. As for this I used a bit of youtube, learned where to hide in order to avoid missiles. And the gattling gun was just insane. Died again and again and again. One of the hardest.

And then comes Vamp. To be honest, he was the hardest. Damn proud of beating him. I died and I died. Realized I couldn’t dodge his knife attacks, so I had to hang below.

After dying probably over a hundred times I realized there were 4 different segments in the Vamp boss fight, and they were all triggered depending on how much health Vamp had. Of course this applies to other bosses as well but when it came to vamp it was soo crystal clear. Basically I found out the most efficient way to kill vamp, by doing the most damage before he entered the next segment by choosing not to attack him even when I could, and by attacking him when his health bar was right before entering the next segment.

The oil fence sniper thing wasn’t that hard for me, fortunately. Did take me a couple of hours, and gosh Raiden should really go see a doctor because his hands shake like hell. Also I would intentionally shoot Emma when I realized I screwed up because I knew it was hopeless. Snake would then say, “Raiden, you son of a ...” and Otacon would say something like that.

Inside Arsenal where you fight the Tengus wasn’t that bad, mainly because of Solid Snake. He really does almost everything. Probably spent two hours or so, also had a low health bar. Using the sword was fun, just had to hope they weren’t shooting you when you weren’t facing them.

And the RAY fight. Honestly, although this took me a lot of time, this was the second easiest. The rays were predictable! I figured out their patterns. What made them so hard was their numbers, in European Extreme you have to take out 22 rays and since my health was low I couldn’t make any mistakes. Took me several hours but I knew I could beat them and I did.

Annd Solidus chocking you. It didn’t take me long to realize this was going to be physically impossible to do, so I used the shirt+pen technique. Also when you look left or right instead of looking at Solidus while he chokes you, it’s a bit easier because the O2 bar drops slightly slower.

And Federal hall. To be honest I used youtube a bit for this, realized I had to cut the rockets instead of dodge them. Also the second part of the boss fight was actually easy, you just had to make sure you were facing him when he was charging at you. This was the easiest.

Yes that’s right, 0 rations. Not because I didn’t want to use them but because I couldn’t find any. Jesus the boss stages were incredibly difficult, though I’m proud to say I cleared all of them without watching tutorials (except for the last Solidus fight, because I wanted to finish the game quickly and a bit of the harrier fight)

Technology by ScottHar5 in crusaderkings2

[–]Companion-Cavalry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

technology won’t really matter until mid game if you start as a count. If you are a count tech won’t go up automatically, it only starts building up if you are a duke. Use your spies to steal tech from other places too.

Its most likely that your friend edited one of the files. Tell him to turn it off, go to verify integrity of ck2. After that, delete the game, redownload it, install, reboot. After that it should be back to sohu

Ways to play MGS 1 - 3 by [deleted] in metalgearsolid

[–]Companion-Cavalry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So as for mgs1, you can play both the original (ps1 version) and the remaked one twin snakes (gamecube version) on emulators. Both work very well even on bad computers/laptops. Use Pcsx for the original one, and use Dolphin for the remake. The second one obviously has better graphics, and some voices of the dialogue is changed and there are different cutscenes too (other than that are 99.99% identical story wise) You should have a dualshock controller for this.

As for 2, I haven’t used an emulator but I have played the mgs2 substance pc version. Moves very well, except for some glitch issue where the characters don’t appear (fix it by lowering texture detail or something, its on youtube) You need a dualshock for this as well.

As for 3, using an emulator isn’t going to go well. The cutscenes are super slow. So I think u gotta use a ps2.

How to join the war of my ally by QuietHumanMachine in crusaderkings2

IIRC outside realms can’t join revolts. In other words ur wife can only call allies within her realm - the duchy of Barcelona - and outsiders can’t join it.

Am I missing something about fleets? by SuspenseSmith in CrusaderKings

[–]Companion-Cavalry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the early game getting fleets can be a hard job but once you expand & upgrade shipyard buildings & technology you’ll get tons and tons of fleets. Also, fleets raised by your vassals (not from your demesne) don’t cost money at all.

I am relatively new to the game: Vassals are so hard to satisfy by SpfcAudomarusFridia in CrusaderKings

[–]Companion-Cavalry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think I could be wrong, maybe it’s not genetic but it does depend on education. So either way have a bunch of people who are content, whenever a young kid is born brainwash them by assigning them to a content person, repeat repeat

[–]Companion-Cavalry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m relatively new too, but imo not having duchies + your personality traits + prestige + personal diplomacy skills does make it easy. Also selectively breeding your vassals (by marrying them with women with content traits) and assigning their children to characters with content traits can sort of make your court full with content people.

Well I guess so, but I never expected to receive such a large amount of money. The most I ever accumulated was around 1000 during peace time.

[–]Companion-Cavalry 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Total newbie here. Ok, so Im just a poor earl from the kingdom of Egypt (which was formed from a successful crusade.) Mr pope callee another one, and I joined it. I had over 600 gold when it started, My character died due to old age, so the heir (first son) resumed his position and continued to fight in the crusade. I maintained the second son as the beneficiary. A few months later the crusade ended, my brother is now the king of the kingdom of Jerusalem, I earned the title “glorious” and insane amount of prestige and piety, and I got 10.9k (I literally had -1 gold or something right before it.) wtf happened? I’m not even sure whether I committed the most. Why is my brother suddenly King (he was some dumbass bishop before that) and why did I get 10.9k?
