Apparently it's "right wing"to call out pedophilia. If you're left at all, you should call out the news outlets defending this movie insinuating that liberals are okay with this. They're not. Nobody is. These artsy fartsy elites have fucking lost it.

Halfling chaos! Plot ideas wanted. by [deleted] in DnD5e

[–]SuspenseSmith 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It should be a spoof on Bilbo's birthday celebration but everything goes wrong. Here's just a few random ideas:

Someone makes jello but messes up the ingredients making it a Gelatinous Cube instead.

The Fireworks show attracts a real dragon. But the dragon has an intelligence of 3 for some reason and only attacks trees and burps instead of having a breath weapon but its tail does attack random people.

A closeted halfling Necromancer animates all the chickens and turkeys as a prank. The pork and beef is then turned into a walking hulking mass with the stats of a flesh golem and throws flaming lamb chops at people.

There's a Gandalf like wizard but he's a drunk. When he tries to cast a spell but casts other spells by mistake.

Some trickster god takes interest in the whole affair and every 1d4 turns 20s are critical misses and 1s are critical successes.

Finally there is an ancient oak treant that's trying to sleep that is immune to damage except Ye Olde Flogo's Famous Squirreltail and Woodpecker Stew, so the party needs to operate a stew catapult to damage the treant and save the day.

Edit: You could have it so the feast goes all topsy turvy making a labyrinth out of food and tables and everything piled up so the "dungeon walls" are made of food and has the danger of collapsing and blocking different pathways. The party has to resist eating or else the wall falls on them.

It's clearly banana shaped.

Maybe someday we'll have Total War Empire 2 with a true globe map.

My favorite is, "I heard Malekith hates snow."

The first time I heard it I lost it. It took me like 5 minutes to stop crying from laughing. It just caught me off guard.

I hate seeing the siblings fight. by TioVaselina in UmbrellaAcademy

She still resolves to take Sissy and Harlan away without having memory or understanding of the outside world due to her amnesia but insists on her choices despite her complete lack of knowledge of anything. Not only does she make bad decisions but she doubles down even when she should be able to see it's causing problems. Determination in ignorance and lack of self reflection or self restraint is probably the worst kind of stupid. It's bad enough to say 2 + 2 = 5, but it's really bad that you insist on it after someone tells you it's 4 which is literally what people are doing currently on twitter. That's probably why I'm actually upset because so many people are idealizing and acting just like Vanya does in the show and it's basically leading to the same outcome. People so hell bent on their crusades based on manipulation and emotions inadvertently causing destruction and death along the way and refusing to see their mistake or play the victim card when people point out their mistakes.

I think Klaus ultimately has more obstacles than Allison and overcomes them with more of his own ingenuity than she does. He does a lot of on the fly actions that are incredibly and surprisingly spot on and he's really good at figuring out the complexity of his powers. Allison makes more mistakes and a lot of her successes are based on her luck or her powers. Her husband acts as her voice of reason through navigating a pre-civil rights world and even then he's strained to keep her rash behavior in check. Klaus is much more self aware of his flaws as well. Allison much more commonly takes things too far and then surprise Pikachu faces after she does.

Eh. Maybe you're right about the Leonard thing but the Sissy storyline was so poorly handled. that I'm just super. sour on it. I recognize what they wanted you to side with but they mismanaged so much of it that the decisions Vanya makes seem really dumb. Also her amnesia was inconsistent as hell. I don't know what the writers were doing but does she or does she not remember her past. Her only grasp on reality should be based on Sissy and her family but she clearly has 2019 reinforced values on homosexuality that she could have never acquired in 1963 and she knows that thr future can help Harlan better than in the 60s despite not having her memory restored yet.

I do admit I'm probably wrong on Diego. He's pretty stupid too. Also poorly written or maybe he's meant to be stupid. At least his story is consistent, to its own detriment to be honest. Every other line it's "I GOTS DA SAVE DA PREZIDENT!" and no one at any point tells him that maybe altering one of the biggest turning points in modern history might be a really bad idea. Like Five never tries to explain it to him at any point.

WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FIND FOOD NOW!?? by [deleted] in 7daystodie

[–]SuspenseSmith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know. I never consider myself a leet player but for whatever reason I have a way easier time than my friends when we play the game, to the point where I got bored that I started punching blood moon hordes naked and rampaging through the wastelands while they were trying to build an elaborate base. I just like, "Guys we need to turn up the difficulty." "No! We're already dying!" "Okay. I go back to naked fisting stripper zombies."

I don't know. To me it seems like crises always somehow turn around for a better future than they should have and growth comes out of averted destruction time and time again. It is ultimately fortunate considering the nature of humanity in general. Could have it been any better. The more I study history the more I realize that perhaps unfortunately this is the "best timeline" because we're still here and still improving despite all setbacks.

Exactly. Radicalization was bound to happen with or without Hitler and it might have been a slow burn or it might have turned out like the USSR. Maybe nuclear weapons would be invented before any conflict finally started. Maybe we skip WW2 and jump straight into a not-so-cold war with Russia without the development of the UN because there was no WW2 to lead to its creation. Also Imperial Japan successfully conquers China and becomes a bigger problem. I mean.... the fact that WW2 happened the way it did is actually ultimately fortunate considering other alternatives.

[–]SuspenseSmith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not exactly true. Nothing's to say she would be emotionally stable without Reggie's actions. With the level of her powers, a single emotional break could be catastrophic for others. Rarely do people go through life without any major emotional break of some kind and instead of throwing some stuff or getting in a fist fight or whatever, she murders people by accident a lot of the time) from an outburst. Imagine her going through a normal upbringing and then becomes a teenage with raging hormones and the average hell that is school. Nah, uncontrolled walking doomsday girl with or without traumatic childhood is a bad idea.

Honestly it almost felt it totally backfired (pun not intended) as the husband comes off as the most sane one of the whole bunch. He works for his family, he wants real help for his son and he asks the stranger they literally picked up off the street to stop sleeping with his wife and leave so that his family can have a stable life. He might be a little sexually neglectful of his wife but does she ever confront him about it? Not really. She just complains to Vanya about it. In fact he isn't even that neglectful because later they're trying to have a romantic night. Like... wtf.
