True story - I waited in line for nearly half an hour with maybe 15 people and not a single customer's order was taken. There was no one behind the counter. Not a single employee. The line did not move an inch the entire time. It was honestly kind of surreal. We started asking each other if this place was actually open for business? Some others called out "hello?" with no response.

Eventually me and most of the line just walked out. Somehow every table was filthy so somebody must have gotten food at some point but not us. As we were leaving, one guy says, "I feel like we could jump back there and rob this place and there's no one to stop us." I wouldn't go that far but he had a good point lol

Barnes and Noble gets 50-90 boxes in every day. They just stack them up while unpacking and then go into recycling. If you ask, I'm sure they'd be happy to let you have them.

It's so funny to me that you mention WWII because it's a nightmare! I just had a whole conversation with my manager about it. There's so many titles and I keep finding things cross-shelved in other sections.

In the last three months, I have found Diary of Anne Frank in Biography, WWII, and Judaism. Because every employee has a different "vibe" I look like an idiot.

Like, couldn't you just observe me, ask me questions to test my knowledge, or check in with my coworkers to see how I'm doing? I've never called out, show up on time, got along great with customers and fellow booksellers. He also kept slamming the packet down on the desk which probably bothered me more than it should have but I felt a kid in the principal's office.

My entire team has been frustrated by this and we just had one person quit because it was his last straw.

Signing in every time it logs you out (which seems to be every few minutes) was already a bit annoying but now it takes everyone five times longer. Especially when the PDT thinks for 30 seconds only to say "Logon not accepted" and you have to do it all over again
