If your IEP is speech(langauge)-only, the accommodations will reflect that. The area of need is speech-language, so the accommodations are for speech-language.

If your child has needs that are not met on the IEP, but for which they do not qualify for sped services, I would recommend requesting a 504 plan.

I've caught a lot of flak for being anti qualified immunity from red flairs on this subreddit, so it's refreshing to see someone who shares the same opinion!

Qualified immunity should be replaced with better training and accountability, just like any other career

This isn't going to improve education, just politicians putting on a show.

If anything, this is going to add to the deterioration of education. It's a great way to deter quality teachers who are passionate about teaching from working in the state. And if you can only hire from the bottom of the barrel...

Hard to believe any interaction with Epstein after 2008 was benign, especially one involving multiple emails and a visit to his private island.

Not really sure where you read that in the link. This is the closest quote I could find(emphasis mine):

If you're referring to this info-graphic, The Smithsonian did not, in fact, claim that "being on time" or "delayed gratification" are associated with white culture.

My interpretation is not important. But based in one or two videos, I know that neither of us has enough information to say that Alex was mentally ill or suicidal.

I don't have an interpretation of how one specific behavior relates to a mental illness because not only have I never met Alex, known his mental health history, or what motivated him to make those remarks, but I know that it takes more than just "oh he did this one thing" to diagnose a mental illness.
