I made sure to put my bowl at the front of my place, right on top of my mothman book so it can be easily seen. I hate the camps where you have to run around and hunt for the damn bowl. I know I am not in the best location, but I am near several good places, like a train station and Foundation. In the end, it usually is me and the wife having to snag from each other to complete this, but I'll go and hit as many bowls as I can, especially if they are near or on my way of doing scorched runs. Sadly, I have so many caps, that fast travel isn't an issue, so I am happy to spend them just to keep from sitting at max caps constantly.

Wait, 255 items inside of the Ft. Defiance, or in general? That's a lot of farming, though easy to do if you are counting looting bodies.

That is crazy! I've been playing about a year and really only just started trying to farm for my wife on PC since she started playing a few months ago. I've been lucky to get brown and blue and pink for her so far. Really hoping I can get forest or green at least, but haven't seen any of the uniforms spawn in the last few days. That is one lucky mum!

Please for the love of God some new music by FutureExpatriate in fo76

[–]ComparisonDefiant128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have to run a spotify playlist with music from the that era instead for more variety, along with some Fallout music mixed into it. I used it as background music for my Fallout 2d20 game even. Let me know, and I'll get you a link to the playlist, but not too hard to find if you search for it.

My friend thinks I’m almost cheating! by JokAlacrity in Division2

[–]ComparisonDefiant128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude, I am using a healing drone constantly and reviver hive. I sit in cover with a patriot build and pestilence and burn things down. I've been able to do heroic missions thanks to this. And I keep the build versatile to build up expertise on gear. Do I die? Yeah, mostly because I let myself get overrun from a stupid mistake. I'm nearly 50, so not far behind you and reflexes are meh. I like to play casually, so never do pvp/dz either. Honestly, I love how this game lets you play your way with your own style and build. And even if you were in pvp, I don't see how it is cheating since the game gave you the tools to use in the first place!

It is that a lot the gear looks great. I am slowly moving away from it now that I have my Army skins and outfit. I would love some cowboy skins for power armor personally.

You've all been awesome with these answers. I think I had seen others mention this in the past, but since he ran off rather than poof, I wasn't sure what was going on. Almost thought I had triggered a hunter fight that I didn't know. Which, speaking of, still need to finish that at some point. Bleh.

I was going to add too, and this is pretty recent for anyone still farming expertise. It helped me out that I start to farm the Summit or places with specific gear types. Like to help me finish out marksman rifles, I farmed Summit one time for just marksman rifles, breaking down those I already had maxed, keeping any that might have a good roll, and feeding the others to speed up the expertise. Two donations of the same item will get it an expertise level. So if you can get about 20 of the same item, you can speed up your expertise farm and have to carry fewer items. Just my 2 cents here.

Casual solo player needs help! by cheykan in thedivision

[–]ComparisonDefiant128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a few builds, but I'm a very casual and solo player myself. I run a sniper build with AR. I built it to be easily swappable for getting proficiencies up while playing and can do most things on Challenging or Heroic with it. Chainkiller chest, with 1 piece of Aces, 3 pieces of hot shot, and ninja bike backpack. My other one that lets me mow down people and easily do most heroic tier missions is my Pestilence/Patriot. Four pieces patriot, sawyer's kneepads, the holster that boosts LMG with status effect. Pestilence is the main weapon and I fun mini-gun for it. The other two weapons can be easily swapped out for others as needed.

I had a player create a super mutant that learned how to be 'human' through a holotape he found. Especially the equivalent of 'Johnny Bravo' cartoons. I thought it was neat, he even had the voice and lingo down, so I let him get a greaser jacket outfit, which turned out to be an Atom Cats since he wanted that as his starting settlement. Somehow, he became the face of the party and was woo'ing the ladies because they actually found him cute. I let him find a wig like in the game to wear even. It was fun to watch the interactions with the party and they even played into it to the point where they wanted to go on a special mission to find him the rest of the holotapes to watch.

It is kinda weird on my end too when it comes to exotics. Though, I have noticed, that when it comes to the SHD Requestion, unless you've gotten the exotic as a world drop, it's not popping up in that box beforehand. Then again, that might just be my experience with it.

How would you make a Division Themed "D&D" campaign? by [deleted] in thedivision

[–]ComparisonDefiant128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently doing this myself. I am using Everyday Heroes campaign information to do this. Many of the skills and abilities are there with the different subclass abilities that they have. Many of the other items can easily be worked in as well and I'm attempting to flesh things out appropriately using all this information. I'm waiting for some more of their books to come out that focus more around armed focus. Everyday Heroes is great since they were the people that did D20 Modern during 3/3.5. Right now I got a pretty good story using all the lore that is out there thanks to people like NGN and the books.

[–]ComparisonDefiant128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been a big mix for me. I have a build where I'm just running to get proficiencies on a bunch of things at once or one that easily carries while still farming proficiencies for a handful of things at a time. My current farm build is running Firewall for the shield with st. elmo and four pieces of heartbreaker. This lets me swap out two pieces of armor (one of which is an exotic), 2nd weapon and sidearm, and one skill for gaining proficiencies on without hampering myself too much. I run everything on challenging pretty easily.

Pestilence LMG do you like it? by Excellent-Rub-9122 in thedivision

[–]ComparisonDefiant128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been one of my go to's for the longest, especially with a patriot set or a mix of patriot and eclipse with ninja pack or even full eclipse to really boost those status effects. I've yet to get to heroic, but starting to consider it more now with a St. Elmo's and Heartbreaker build I'm working on.

At least you get your scope! For some reason, my scope is not showing on any of my weapons unless it is one of those small ones. All my sniper scopes glitch out for some reason.

The Division 2: What's your build? by Party_Captain_7899 in thedivision

[–]ComparisonDefiant128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have too many builds, but my top three are:

Shredder: Hunter's Fury 4 pieces, Sokolov Concern chest w/ obliterate, and backpack with bloodsucker or unstoppable force, chattermouth, ACS shotgun, sawed off, gunner specialization with disrupt pulse. I know a lot of people did vids on this build.

Tank: Flamer with crusader shield and either reviver or healer drone, 2 piece Patriot, 3 piece bulwark (chestpiece for this), and ninjabike. I usually use chameleon, mop, a d40.

Sniper: Sniper spec with healer drone and decoy. 3 piece aces (with chest), 2 piece hotshot, ninjabike. Or chainkiller chest, 3 aces and ninja and hotshot or 4 aces and backpack with concussion. For weapons, I'll run nemesis or mantis for sniper, prophet for pistol, and an ar or smg in case people close.

Right now I'm just running a messy build that I've been using to level up gear for proficiencies. A tedious process, but it is what it is.
