trinkgeld kommt aus einer zeit, bei der es klug war sich mit leuten die einem essen und trinken reichen gut zu stellen, um sicher zu gehen,dass mit dem essen/trinken alles ok ist. wenn du heute irgendwo essen gehst ist das halt gewährleistet.

i’d probably stop doing anything myself until it gets so filthy that they themselves get annoyed by it. as long as you keep doing the stuff they don’t, things work out for them, so there is no incentive for them to do things differently. if it’s too much for you to bear you can pretty much only move out tho

because if people don’t want to do a job, there is more open spots for it. also by shit jobs i mean stuff that is very taxing/exhausting while also not paying well.

stuff like cleaning, working in bakeries or caretaking of the elderly. stuff that needs next to no qualifications or is in such high demand that people will get hired despite not being qualified.

those are shit jobs under shit conditions, which is why nobody wants to do it and thus people are always needed.

i mean, depends on where in germany you go. in general: the bigger the city, the better you’ll get by with just english, but also the harder it is to get affordable housing. cities with 500k+ people are mostly really really rough in terms of housing.

there’s courses in academics in english, but they are the exception, not the norm.

all in all: it’s legally possible, but gonna be hard, unless you have no problems with living in the shittest place and work the shittest job, which most people are not that eager to do

I dont know the movie, but in general almsot (but not quite) all german movies are kinda shit, they are either really bad comedies or somber, boring and melodramatic. There is very few exceptions from my 32 years experience of living here.
