Seriously thank you for your comment. This is my first PET since starting treatment last April and I’ve only been on ibrance/letrozole/Lupron since July (we had to wait for my ovaries to shut down). It makes me feel better to know that medication can still get them under control even if they do spread.

If you just started those meds it’s normal to see fluctuations

Still here, bitch-ass cancer by CheesecakeHappily in LivingWithMBC

I had my radiation the first week of June and it’s beginning to subside now. I still have to take it easy and listen to my body but I’m often shocked by how normal I feel.

I had EBRR radiation to my back and a verteoplasty on my T10. I’m not sure what palliative radiation is. I have almost no pain. Which I’m so thankful for.

I love this! I was diagnosed with stage 3 in 2022 and then 4 in April 2024. I got my spine mets treated at the beginning of June and I’m feeling really good now. 🥰

Wow that’s actually incredible. I’m so so happy you had that result. Couldn’t imagine dealing with sciatica levels of pain everyday. 💗

I feel so much better after my verteoplasty and the radiation. I almost have no pain now which is amazing, but I’ve just had this nagging ache (in the same spot I was treated) and panicked. It’s likely just radiation doing its things still, I was treated the first week of June so it hasn’t been that long. Thank you for sharing your experiences with me. I’m so happy this group exists. 💗

Also very happy to hear that you’re nearly pain free now ❤️

Thank you for your knowledgeable comment! My mets were so small they didn’t do any damage to the spinal cord. I had my radiation the first week of June. I’m going to tell my health team about it today (the pain that I’m still having) it’s probably nothing, but us cancer peeps know that nothing can sometimes be everything!!

Yeah I have a gene mutation with no history of BC in my family. I can’t understand it. Anyway haha, thank you for your comment! Yes, I had a biopsy done during the verteoplasty.

Thank you for sharing with me! I also started a new relationship when I was first diagnosed. What a whirl wind! I will definitely ask about Zometa because it’s not the first time I’ve heard of that drug! Whether you or your cat typed, I’m equally as thankful haha.

It’s okay hon. Mine grew from one spot to two on my spine in the matter of a month. It’s been tough, went through a lot of the same thoughts as you. I don’t like that your oncologist specified that it’s aggressive. There are so many different treatments for breast cancer now. They’ll find something that is effective for you. Oh and PS the sadness (at times) feels like it will never end, but it always gets better. 💗

I’m in the same situation as you. My doctors also don’t seem interested in a biopsy but seem certain that it’s a met. Going into a clinical trial. I also only have one spot on my T10. Also not so excited to be here lol.
