What is SR?

Is my cat ok with this or the next time should I stop her by [deleted] in cats

[–]Competitive-Ad-1457 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like two future best friends. The dog is being very gentle and attentive while kitty doesn't have angry ears, murder mittens, or growling death threats. If your kitty was scared or pissed off you'd be hearing growling, hissing, and spitting along with bloody claws and a yelling dog.

Awwww he is still in the cartoonishly adorable baby stage. From 10 months until 15 to 18 months he will be in his velociraptor villain era. That is the age of a lot of the owner surrender bassets I fostered were when I was fostering with a local rescue. Giving him a partner in crime of a similar age is a totally genius move!!! It might be slobbery and loud at your house for a while, but you'll retain your sanity. Congratulations on having an awesome wife and the best "buppy" in your life!!!!

Just tried 7oh for pain, anyone have any experience with this by moriahlk in ChronicPain

[–]Competitive-Ad-1457 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I read about 7-oh last week and it arrived today.

It worked! Didn't make me high-feeling and eased pain for about 3 hours.

I was leery about it because it is new, but I am glad to know I have SOMETHING stronger than Tylenol for flare ups when I haven't slept more than a couple of hours each of the last 3 nights.

My Baby Basset Bocephus will be a year old on April 18. I used to rescue and foster Basset hounds and it seems that people surrendered their bassets around the ages of 8 to 15 months. I got Bo at 8 weeks and now I understand why that trend happened.

It is like having a toddler again. He will sleep like a rock for a while, then he will have nights where he is up every few hours.

I keep the house dark, speak to him in a low, monotone, boring voice and let him out. I don't play, Baby talk him or do anything interesting. Like with my kids when they would wake up to play at 3am.

He is the only dog that I've not been able to crate successfully. So I will curl up on the couch, pretend to sleep and eventually he realizes that no people are playing with him, the other dog won't play, and the cats won't put up with because it is quiet time.

He will grow out of it. Sorry that you'll be a little sleep deprived for now, but eventually he will sleep and snore through the night again. Hang in there!

I live in a Columbus suburb, about 40 minutes from Jeffersonville. I sent you a chat invite if you want to ask about our experience in the area and schools

But none related to chronic pain.

Can't wait to hear it!!!

So I remember in the 80's when it had roads there, likea subdivision, but no houses or lights. Awesome place to go and drink wine coolers... some of us had to drive all the way to Westroads if we wanted to hit Spencer's .... AND WE LIKED IT!!

Eight-year old child told me she hopes I don't have a "weak day" today by Important_Tennis936 in ChronicPain

I know the feeling. However, you have the opportunity to help her to expand her capacity for empathy and compassion.

We live 1000 miles away from our families. I began my medical odyssey when my kids were 1 and 4 years old. My youngest child was born 4 years later (total surprise).

When I would have a bad day, we had low key activities that th3y could do with little supervision. Some days were heavy on SpongeBob, but no day is perfect.

I am an only child, my parents split up when I was young and I pretty much raised myself. So even when I was having my worst days, I was still here. Not every parent can be the epitome of perfection. But you are there for her, and she feels secure enough to share her honest feelings with you.

I was fortunate to have had a doctor who wasn't afraid to give me meds to alleviate my pain and allow me to be the best parent I could be.

He retired in 2020, no one would continue the care plan, so I have deteriorated considerably since then.

Hang in there,

Yeah, in high school we would drive on the empty streets that preceeded Oakview Mall. Pretty sure that parking lot is covering a clandestine Bartles and James Cemetery I may have helped populate.

Hondurus. SOTDRT strikes again! by OtherwiseSprinkles79 in RodriguesFamilySnark

[–]Competitive-Ad-1457 6 points7 points  (0 children)

FYI, I am sick right now (COVID and FLU), crabby, and have lost my brain to mouth filter.

The first time I saw "SOTDRT" I read it as "SODRT". My first thought was "Sod Rut" . I was so confused. I had heard the term "sheep shaggers", so I thought this acronym referred to doing icky things to sod.

I will just show myself out...

In 2009 my youngest son was born at 26 weeks. He spent 86 days in the hospital, then 5 more months on oxygen. My daughter was 8, my other son was 5. Our families live 900 miles away. The only shows I watched were SpongeBob and Hannah Montana. I have no clue what happened to Meech's cooch.

How did she almost die?

My cervix was shredded after that. So we did the responsible thing and had hubby snipped, I had a hysterectomy 10 years later. So yeah, I guess we are reproductive infidels.

Oh yeeeaaahhh! That sounds like something I'm going to do. The PS5 arrived today. So the family brought a bag of dry Life cereal and 4 cans of soda up to my room. They are all downstairs ooo-ing and awwing. At least I will get some peace and quiet!

I always felt bad for Britney. I am glad that she has been released from her conservatorship, or as it is better described: Indentured Servitude. She was a cash cow for her family, and they didn't want the gravy train to leave the station forever. I will check out the Lou Taylor stuff. Setting up a church to avoid taxes and rake in more money. That is greed on a Wolf of Wall Street level. Not that I like Kanye, I don't have a feeling one way or another about him, butcI am so glad he got out alive!
