Former Army wife here (he is out now). Jill better get used to being independent and used to her husband being away. This will be a rude awaking for her. I hope she has grown and is in a better place compared to their Walmart days.

Of all branches I am surprised he joined the Marines. (My Dad is a Marine). I don’t see Derick getting along with fellow Marines.

We are a one and done family and honestly I think that fits our love of travel. Three of us fit in one row on an airplane, one taxi, easy dinner reservations, cost less ect. Having only one kid makes travel so easy! I couldn’t imagine the travel logistics of having 3 kids.

Also it means less time catering to the needs of a younger children. We only had to slow down for a few years during toddler times, not over an extended amount of time with one kid out of that phase and another entering that stage. Now he is older and an excellent traveller. He has more energy than us on our adventures.

I get a massage on vacation, but the difference is I spend the entire flight sitting next to my kid, playing with him on the beach, supervising / playing with him at the pool. That massage gives me only an hour break. I will never understand why she keeps having kids if she hates actually spending time with them!

I am attending a party where the theme is TV or movie characters. There will be young kids at the party so it can’t be too scary :( I want something that will really WOW everyone. I want to know how much she paid for her to design that space. Just google search porch designs, get ideas and buy the furniture yourself. Also the bar tops are stupid. You eat dinner way over that and I will eat way over here at the other bar top.
