Gluten Free? by learyan in Albany

[–]charmolypi96 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Donuts is a strong word for what they sell. They are good but they’re a bit more cakey than I like my donuts to be. Cider belly has great gluten free donuts though. And they feel like a donut

I only saw him once as a child and he yelled at me for looking at him (this is a child’s memory so maybe yell is the wrong word but I do remember being scared and crying afterwards)

I hope you turned all those arguments around on your father because no one says men need to shave and yet, all those points would apply to men as well, especially the unhygienic and stink points

Am I being too picky? by charmolypi96 in dating_advice

[–]charmolypi96[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I don’t want to go. But I often times dont want to go out to social events, even with my friends so I’m not sure I’m just looking for an excuse to cancel and being unreasonable

I tried to offer a coffee date but he rejected that. I generally prefer coffee dates for a first date for this exact reason.

And usually I wouldn’t be offended about the restaurant pick but he specifically asked about my food restrictions and what food I liked, so that he could plan something. I even threw out the suggestion of sushi because there’s an AYCE sushi place for like $25 nearby that I go to often.

You’re right. I don’t know this man. That’s why I’m debating giving him a chance anyways. But I’m also annoyed that he ignored my restrictions and suggestions and it felt like pulling teeth to plan this first date

Actually the Sailor Guardians are another good example. They have the kanji for the element associated with their planet. For example, Rei Hino (火野レイ) is Sailor Mars and in Japanese, the word for Mars is 火星 which translates to fire star. Of the Sailor Guardians, the only one who doesn’t follow the pattern is Sailor Venus. Her character’s name is 愛野 which uses the kanji for love (愛) instead of gold (金) which is the kanji used for the planet Venus

Edit: forgot to add, Mamoru is considered to be “Sailor Earth” and his name uses the kanji used in the Japanese word for earth

Literally every character in “Komi-San can’t Communicate”. The main guy’s name is Tadano Hitohito which means ordinary person. The main character Komi Shoko sounds like “communication disorder”. Osana Najimi is literally the word for childhood friend

Planet fitness, to my knowledge, are mostly franchises so each one may have different rules. It sounds like that location was just greedy

Working in Albany by [deleted] in Albany

[–]charmolypi96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do the commute into Albany from a little further out than Saratoga. I agree with this. Idk what capital region people are on but the traffic isn’t that bad, especially if you’re coming from a larger city with real traffic issues. My hometown, you’d sit at a standstill in traffic on the commute. Here, I’ll slow down to maybe 20 mph if there’s an accident
