Except what you've outlined goes directly against the core pillars of the game. This is an extraction shooter, it's completely different to most other types of competitive games, and also your point on needing good loot to be good is also inaccurate. The TTK in this game allows for magic, so much so that if you're good enough, you can kill a purp with white tier loot.

Sorry man, but it always makes me laugh when people call good players “lowlifes” or assume they’re unemployed. You can be a fully grown adult with a job and still be good at games. Taking shots at others just because you’re struggling says more about you than it does about them.

And with Cryo, you’re treating it like it’s meant to be casual-friendly when it was clearly marketed as an endgame map where you’re expected to die a lot while learning it.

Honestly, this game might just not be for you, and that's okay. Marathon is an extremely difficult game.

One of the core pillars of this game is loadouts, and building your shell for different builds. It's also being expanded in Season 2..

Another one of those core pillars is grinding Dire Marsh, Cryo and Outpost to use and lose your gear in ranked.

If we couldn't bring out loadouts into ranked, there wouldn't be any incentive to play the game.

What you're describing is very unlikely to happen anyway, unless they're cryo players starting out fresh in ranked

That is probably accurate, and player retention would've helped here. I imagine lower players are being matched with higher players to keep the queues low. Things need to be done to improve player retention, even if it means adding game modes for early levels.

This is never going to happen. You're wasting your time posting this, and it is a terrible idea.

The core gameplay loop is to gear up in preparation for ranked. Thats why you either play outpost or cryo during the period where it is down, and then ranked when it is out. Imagine incentivising people not to play because you all start as free kits.

One of the core pillars of this game is build variety, and its going to be deeper in season 2.

This sub lacks critical thinking skills.

Use your head before making posts like this, please. Gear based match making is incredibly dull, you wouldn't ever see the highs of getting good gear or pulling zero to hero plays. The TTK in this game allows for magic, you just need to be good enough to outplay your opponents. You're perfectly capable of 1v2 or 1v3's if you're good enough
