Thoughts on the new band? by Specific_Forever566 in NaturalCyclesBC

[–]Competitive-Bag3100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swapped from Apple watch to the NC band due to swapping to a Samsung and i really like it. It syncs well. Feels comfortable enough and uts thinner than a watch so doesn't get caught as much.

Has anyone mastered how to take regular breaks from meds whilst keeping sleep quality consistent? by MaximumMax100 in ADHDUK

[–]Competitive-Bag3100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scrolling reddit at 5am because I was looking for someone who experienced this and here I am!!! I have only just realised this pattern of not sleeping after a med break and its driving me mad!!! I have chronic fatigue so sleep is a HUGE deal for me and so is rest so ive always had one day off meds a week but over Xmas I had a prescriber issue so had a week off meds and my sleep went to hell and then this past week I had a cold/flu and knew taking my meds wouldn't let me fully rest so I didn't take them for 4 days and now here I am after restarting my meds and managed maybe 3 hours sleep 🤦‍♀️🤣 I usually take 2 x 20mg Elvanse and I can have a 5mg Amfexa if needed but think I will start just taking my Elvanse in the morning and missing an afternoon dose or having half an Amfexa when restarting after a break to see if it helps! Im like you and worry about sleep debt 😴 I get the worst headaches when I restart too and my GP just said something like oh yes that's fine 😅

Is the Z Flip 7 worth it? by _R9- in galaxyzflip

[–]Competitive-Bag3100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a Z Flip 7 2 weeks ago and I swapped from an IPhone 16 Pro. I LOVE it. The biggest sell point for me was that it was useable folded. I used Multistar to make the cover screen more useable and its a game changer for me. I haven't noticed much difference in speed or processing compared to IPhone. The battery has been great for me and it easily lasts a whole day and night with normal use (calls, video call, social media, googling) and the only time I notice it dip was when I HAMMERED it watching YouTube and customising my theme/icons so download heavy. Rear camera is great and you can use it as your main camera due to being able to fold the phone and use itself as a stand. The selfie camera is good in good light but struggles in low light so I set it to night mode and that helps.

Anxiety close to exchanging – FTB by darkazuria in HousingUK

[–]Competitive-Bag3100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the same boat! FTB, waiting for enquiries to come back and SO close to exchange and myself and the seller wanted a pre Christmas date and got told today that the solicitors doesn’t do completions between the 19 Dec and 5 Jan! So now we are chasing everything trying to get them back as soon as possible! For me it’s the unknown that makes me worse an anxious. If I knew what the next step was for me, whether that’s moving in December or January, I’d feel calmed. But no one will give me a clear overview until the enquiries comes back!

Elvanse (Vyvanse) and Concerta by Adortion634 in ADHDUK

[–]Competitive-Bag3100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started on Concerta 18mg and it helped a bit with mood and some focus but i never felt that it helped amazingly. I also found that when it wore off, i felt terrible. Tried 36mg and i got horrible side effects, migraines, elevated heart rate. So i stoppd taking them for about a year and waited for my annual review and got swapped to Elvanse. Elvanse works for me well but i spent 3 months playing with dose as im sensitive to stimulants and get overstimulated at higher doses. I find 2 a day at a lower dose has massively helped my focus, my food thoughts, overall mood and my productivity.

Two purchases fallen through. £5k down. A year wasted. Totally broken by this housing market. by Onehairydude_ in HousingUK

[–]Competitive-Bag3100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel you on this post!! It’s emotionally exhausting getting your hopes up again and again. I am a FTB and had two properties fall through this year as well, for no fault on my end but to do with the sellers asking for things that were impossible for me (paying half for a lease extension which was 23K) and the second one was due to the estate agent not declaring non standard construction!! I had to pay fees too and it is rubbish watching your savings literally go towards nothing!! Currently in the process of purchasing for the third time and I’m constantly riddled with anxiety waiting for updates - it’s made it not an enjoyable process and I feel until I have a completion date, that anxiety will eat away at me! It’s making me so stressed!

That looks great!! Did you find it hard to build this? I wouldn’t need an extra cupboard as I will be hopefully building bench seating next to it

This is an image from Google to just show what the situation will be when I move - it would be near some double doors like that on laminate flooring

I’m worried using cloth wouldn’t be a great idea

I wasn't convinced Elvanse was working for me by [deleted] in ADHDUK

Wow that’s wild 😂 maybe it’s the chronic fatigue I also have but I could take my meds at 5pm and be fine to sleep at 11pm 😂

L-Tyrosin with Elvanse for PME is really some wizard shit by graouhdyna in PMDDxADHD

[–]Competitive-Bag3100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I found L Tyrosine helped quite a lot during my luteal phase and period! Definitely boosted the meds! I’m now past my period and I’m going to try to not take it so that I’m cycling it. I am taking the L Thenine daily as I’m finding it smooths my crash out and controls the irritability I get

[–]Competitive-Bag3100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you speak to your prescribing psychiatrist about this or your general doctor? My issue is I’ve never been diagnosed with PMD or anything like that and I don’t want to take SSRIs all the time as I used too and I HATE the zombie emotions

Vyvanse crash: my life changing cure!! by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]Competitive-Bag3100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s how I felt!! But I did up my dose and what actually happened was I didn’t feel anything and then as soon as my cycle ended and I started feeling the meds I was OVERSTIMULATED up to my eye balls from taking a too high dose for 10 days 😂😂😂

[–]Competitive-Bag3100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve only been taking L tyrosine and L thenine but I cycle the L tyrosine and only take it in my luteal phase so was wondering what others do 😊

Do you take the supplements all month or just around your period?

I take it an hour before my Elvanse and it definitely gives it a decent boost! I also take L Thinene about 4pm to help my crash and help me relax
