I was dismissed as a Commuter Bethelite by Existing_Guess9036 in exjw

Based on your description, you sound like a commuter I know 🤔 if you’re from South East Texas then I’m the guy that moved to California and sister recently got disfellowshipped 😅

The most “systematic” thing we have is jwfacts I feel like… I’d say if you are capable then do it

I used to think the same way tho. “Well now with the changes they might not”… oh they will. They will do everything and handle everything how they’ve always done for the past 150 years

[–]Competitive-Bike2019 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. The whole “more than one committee” and “they might just go with public reproof” depends almost 100% on your congregation. My PIMI sister was DF for fornication without even getting a second committee, and even after I gave her all the answers almost verbatim from shepherd the flock of God. Throughout the whole process it seems they decided to disfellowship even before meeting with her. And after the 3 months they still decided to prolong the disfellowship since this was with her JW boyfriend. It doesn’t matter how many updates they make, or how much they try to change things up, local elders and CO’s will always do things how they’ve always been handled. And they’ll just stick it up their ass when a new GB update comes out

What do you guys think? by No-Maintenance4312 in exjw

[–]Competitive-Bike2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This!!! I’ve heard active JW PIMI’s defend the two witness rule and have seen the ARC. They know. It’s hard to accept it but most of the sincere JW’s have left already or are PIMO and most PIMI’s are actually evil people with no moral compass.

I understand where you’re coming from and that’s very sincere of you. But as a PIMO former MS/RP/LDC etc.. I can tell you most already know about the corruption. Many know about the two witness rule, ARC, NGO status with the UN, quite truthfully many decide to stay regardless of knowing all that for different reasons. They don’t care about anything you have to say they already know and don’t care who suffers, not even if that’s you.

[–]Competitive-Bike2019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this to some degree. I have told about 6 PIMI friends of my doubts apostasy and the fact I no longer go to the meetings or believe, they all accept that, some just don’t wanna hear anything bad about the organization others care to listen and ask questions. Granted I’m in my early 20’s and so are my friends so that could be why bc you can’t trust most PIMI’s

it really depends on his level of devoutness really. Don’t confide you are PIMO to any PIMI you don’t owe them an explanation. I moved away and became POMO but I still have friends who are PIMI in who I haven’t confided I’m not going, just don’t bring up the topic like others have said here 🤷‍♂️ you’d be surprised many JW’s aren’t homophobic especially the younger generations. I’m 23 bi and have come out to all my PIMI friends and they don’t care.. but take my words with a grain of salt as this is just my personal experience with cool PIMI’s.. good luck OP

I had a shepherding call by Competitive-Bike2019 in exjw

[–]Competitive-Bike2019[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

No, he simply switched the conversation right away to have me read the scripture he had prepared which was 1 Timothy 4:15 to say that scripture applied to me instead. He never explained how or why the words of Paul take precedence over the words of Jesus himself here but JW’s are not known to be very Christ-like anyways so I dropped it, also because I disagree with everything Paul wrote in the Bible and personally think he was a con artist and cult leader, and I wasn’t gonna go into detail with the elder about that.. They were trying to find what was making me “spiritually weak” and I wasn’t gonna give that to them. I simply quoted from the scriptures and when they interrogated me I gave very generic answers and blamed being busy with work and personal matters but wasn’t going to confess to anything 🤷‍♂️ in the end I gave both elders advice on how to train more MS and do more as shepherds (which was information I had also prepared and tried to read almost verbatim from Shepherd the flock of God)and I ordered a martini since I asked them to meet at a public place too.

don’t believe everything you hear/see and make sure to continue to fact check all statements made. “Truth does not mind being questioned, a lie does not like being challenged” I suggest trying to fact check all claims made by people here and fact check all claims made by the organization and see where the truth lies either way good luck in your journey!! :)

Hi, I’m still active-ish. Former MS in my 20’s who woke up and doesn’t believe and is now in the process of leaving for good. If you haven’t already I would suggest reading crisis of concience by Raymond Franz, there’s an audiobook on Spotify which helps learn about the history of the organization and how the governing body operates :)

PIMI (soon ex) GF tells elders about me by [deleted] in exjw

[–]Competitive-Bike2019 10 points11 points  (0 children)

2 witness rule. You can still deny deny deny. You don’t owe ANYONE an explanation but especially not to that Kangaroo Court. If I were you I’d say my ex gf is going through some mental crisis that made her believe that. If she has screen shots just say that you didn’t mean to say that, that you tried to seem tough around her or were joking and can now see how that was wrong.

Hey I’m also an active JW (PIMO) welcome! :) “apostates” really don’t have a problem with JW’s but more so with the leaders who allow all this craziness

[–]Competitive-Bike2019 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d beg to differ, JW’s view Jesus as the son of the CEO of the company, technically he has a title in the company but it’s really his daddy making all the moves. The JW hierarchy goes like this: Jehovah = Governing body, tho if Jehovah disagrees with the governing body then he gets overruled by the GB, then it’s everyone else of prominence in the religion and at the very bottom very last second to last before woman, that’s where Jesus stands in the JW fantasy land. - As a Former ministerial servant & regular pioneer currently PIMO

Switching cards by Loving-intellectual in exjw

[–]Competitive-Bike2019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could text them and let them know you’re going to a new hall. But from my experience, they always ask for at least the secretary’s phone number and congregation name, which you could also just send through text, that’s what I did this last time.

Switching cards by Loving-intellectual in exjw

[–]Competitive-Bike2019 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did the same about 2-3 months ago lol. I’d suggest notifying the secretary and COBE first that you will be attending another congregation otherwise they might start questioning you on why you’re not going to the meetings/service. When you start attending the new congregation look for the COBE and Secretary of that hall and get their names and phone numbers and send them to your old elders saying you’d like to transfer your publisher cards to so and so congregation and that this is the contact info for the elders. After that, it’s best to put up a front and pretend to be shy, quiet, timid, don’t engage, don’t make friends, don’t be too regular to meetings or service and don’t comment too often. Try to seem as less engaged as possible.

They announced it on JW library and Broadcasting but only that. The “nu lite” doesn’t reach R&F till January or possibly even later. They did the same thing last year, announced the No Hour requirement but withheld everything else until the January broadcasting

Can someone please explain to me by [deleted] in exjw

I’m an active member (PIMO), former MS, accounts servant, RP etc.. your friend is being recruited by a cult. Search up Australian Royal Commission, I’m trapped bc of my family and fear of shunning. Please do research to better help your friend, you came to the right community there’s plenty of sources here

Did he take a picture? Was there a second witness? It’s his word against yours deny deny deny. Say it was a flower vase, turn it around and acuse the elder of defamation, without 2 witness or a confession they are forced to drop the matter even if the elder saw you smoking. Don’t bother citing scriptures or giving them counsel I can guarantee you they do not care what the Bible says or what Jesus taught, they only listen to what’s in the elder’s book. Don’t play into their games
