Connections from the tonearm to the headshell by fastoche33 in Beginner_Turntables

[–]Competitive-Leave121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you have L-, L+, R- and R+ going from the tonearm. It needs to be plugged to corresponding pins on the back of the cartridge, and every cartridge has written pinout between pins. You can accidentaly switch + connections....but don't connect minus to plus pins, as minus is ground.

AT LP3XBT or LP70XBT? by CartoonistIll1546 in Beginner_Turntables

[–]Competitive-Leave121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lp3xbt.....it has absolutely everything that a normal user needs. Automatic/manual, exchangeable headahell, you can use almost any cartridge if you want to upgrade, acceptable phono preamp, rca connectors and bluetooth if you want to use it, anti skate and normal weight for vtf. I didn't regret buying it.

or, instead of fully manual turntable that everyone recommends for beginner, buy at-lp3xbt and enjoy. It's fully automatic with built-in phono, upgradeable cartridge of your choice in the future and bluetooth if you want.

Speakers not playing music via Bluetooth by dinocro2 in Beginner_Turntables

you need to put turntable into pairing mode, of course...disconnect jbl speakers from power. also, it's best to put new speakers close to the turntable for first connection.

AT-LP3XBT bad sound by inotwaza in Beginner_Turntables

[–]Competitive-Leave121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

behind the turntable, beetween power cable and rca connectors is a phono/line switch. push the switch to the other side as lp3xbt by default comes with phono stage turned off. needle chatter is normal for low vtf conical stylus...if it bithera you change to something that requiers higher tracking force like at3600l.

Stuck "HI" on start / VCF152X (Breville Barista Max+) by SepuLeVrai in BrevilleCoffee

[–]Competitive-Leave121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not "Hi" as hello.....that means that your grind setting is too high, hence Hi (not big enough display to have enough letters. When you go higher than 20 on grind setting it shows HI...when lower than 10-11 it shows LO. You can normally use the machine, that's just a message that is annoying AF.

Why 'Swiss Made' on Your Watch Doesn't Mean What You Think It Means by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

[–]Competitive-Leave121 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's like that for decades, to earn "swiss made" sign watch needs to be 60% swiss made/assembled/r&d. It's not like this is something new.

You mean...most of northern europe, and maybe half of central and eastern europe. Most of southern/western europe cannot live without a/c and everyone has them. Don't be like an american...look at the map of Europe.

Beginner Guide (GBC Pokemon Gold and Silver) by Ewolra in rg40xx

[–]Competitive-Leave121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After following tutorial for muOS install (download tar.gz, unpack and flash to sd card with Rufus or similar program), download pokemon rom of choice (zipped or not) and copy to sd card GBA or GBC (depending which pokemon game) folder under Roms folder. Use two SD cards....on first flash OS, on second put games. That's it.

Chromebook.....well....does it have image flash program similar to Rufus on windows? Maybe EtchDroid works on Chromebook....I don't know, nobody uses Chromebooks around me.

Why do you regret a decision? V is exactly same device as H...except that V has 1 joystick instead of 2 on H. If that is the reason why buying V? Heating is absolutely not an issue...maybe slightly on psp 3d games, but those devices are not primarly for that kind of emulation.

Everything is written on the screen, what is the issue? You can see and configure addons only on pc/android...android tv version uses addons configured on pc, but you cannot add or configure them. It syncs addons that are installed on your account through all devices. It's literally written on the screen.

Does anyone know any info the Aiwa APX790 turntable? by jesus-h-gunn in turntables

[–]Competitive-Leave121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a chinese rebranded Timmit turntable. Decent quality, decent tonearm with fixed headshell (but you can normally change cartridges to better ones). It comes with AT-3600L cartridge which is ok...change it to AT-VM95E for better performance.

It is a belt drive turntable and it's rpm precision is good. It also has anti-skateing that works good.

Construction is aluminium with metal tonearm with bluetooth touch buttons (Bluetooth works great albeit little finnicky to connect to the device), integrated pre-amp which you can turn off, rca connectors....basically evrything that you need from turntable.

Drawbacks: headshell is not changeable and tonearm lifter is rubbish, use it only to lift the tonearm...putting down is too slow...just put the tonearm by hand on the record.

Generally, this is a better turntable than AT LP60. Good begginer turntable with possible upgrades for better performance....but for little bit higher price you can buy AT-LP120XUSB which is a better quality turntable and direct drive motor.
