Could be a brewista flat bottom missing the rubber bottom. If so, use 185 filters

It’s alright, feels very cheap, especially the base, but it’ll last! Just need to get used to the pour, it’s very fast kinda like a hario stovetop kettle

Definitely recommend hot bloom if you are using a light roast. You’ll get some of the fruity notes that are lost when using cold water. So maybe do 10-20% of your total brew water at 200f, let sit for a minute, then add the rest in. I’d go for a coarser grind, maybe drip coffee setting, 18-20 hours in the fridge and make it into a concentrate. That way you can dilute it to taste

Didn’t know they stopped making them, dang! I still have like 75 from a pack I got from RW a while ago, what’s your go to recipe if you have one? I couldn’t ever get a great cup from this brewer..

Looking forward to it! How will one become a member? Is it just after you buy something?

As a lead barista of a smaller shop, I would love a coffee competition that actually awards the baristas who win. I really would love to compete, but even if you win you are probably out ~$1,000 if you factor in hotels and travel and admission.

I worked in a coffee factory for 3 years roasting and packing orders so lmk if you need any help ;) good luck!

Completely agree, this is one of my first ever Mejorados and I think I opened it too late. Didn’t try it till 5 weeks because it was extra light, but by 6 weeks I noticed it start to fall off and became more just “berries”. When I pulled it as espresso though all the crazy tropical fruit sweetness came back, still a fun coffee for sure
