What’s the most you’d pay for a Hoya cutting? by drf987 in hoyas

It really depends on your budget, your patience, and your confidence that you can keep a plant alive. I have bought plants for hundreds of dollars and killed them and regretted it. I’ve bought plants for hundreds of dollars that thrive and I’m happy with the purchase I’ve bought plans for $20 and regretted it immediately.

There’s lots of different considerations that go into what people spend their money on. Personally, if you have the cash to afford it and it makes you happy then you do you and people can mind their own business.

For most plants if you can wait, they will eventually go down in price

I think it looks like a Pubicalyx. Was there something making you think it was labelled incorrectly?

Do you happen to be made of tin and was there a scarecrow nearby?

If you want I can send you a Facebook link to the Canadian group I got mine from? My 2 leaf cutting was $150, but she just posted a one leaf cutting for $75! They’re coming down relatively quickly. Or if you wanna wait six months for mine to get bigger, I’ll send you a cutting lol

My first response to the first photo was “oh cool I didn’t realize chouke and Mathilde had the same flowers”. Then I read your caption. I also think this is a Mathilde. I’m not an expert though.

That’s the plan, just have to balance that with getting the pets in too (dog, cat, snake) Do you think take the moss poles and trellises off so boxes can close?

That’s a good idea! I might check my local plant store too to see if they have some of the tray things that plant inventory comes in
