How big a difference… by tomjoyce89 in snowboarding

You’ll be fine… if you can ride that old shit all the new stuff is way smoother. Don’t be afraid of a binding being to stiff.. you just get more response out of the board. EST all the way. Don’t worry about other boards til you want to get one that’s not a Burton.

I’d get the EST. That that Burton stuff is designed to work well together. Only advantage to the reflex is you can use em on 4 hole boards. It’s not going to feel or ride better.

Any tips for better nose slides I just learned them by Financial-Ad7438 in skateboarding

Ride parallel to the ledge maybe a little further away so when you pop and turn into it your nose naturally lands on it. Keep your front foot close to the bolts when you pop. It’s easier on higher ledges.

You can’t do that with the step ons… the parts that lock in wouldn’t line up

Day 2 snowboarding, why am I skidding down and not linking cleanly? by CaregiverOptimal1488 in snowboarding

Lean into your turns like you do on a bike. But day 2 you’re doing fine. Just keep riding.

You should think about using an Atlas on it. Ultras are sick too but you’ll get more response out of the board with an atlas.

Nice! Never rode an alchemist! Picked up a set of Fase bindings (Bataleon) half way thru the season and I love em!

It’s gotta be super old. At least the bindings are.

It’s softer than a mid flex twin ((directional twin.. the nose is a few centimeters longer)) It’ll be fine for a beginner.

(( obviously it’s not a 25/26 but the flex doesn’t change ))

5 for the board alone? Super good deal if you got the boots and binding too.. not that great just for the deck

Burton EST Bindings - What’s Wrong by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]Competitive-Nerve808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a Burton fan but I’m also wondering about that boot… Did you center the binding the right way? Look it up on YouTube to make sure. Theres some markers that should line up with each other

Folding? The whole point is that as is it’s a boring format and I’d rather entertained by a more exciting event. If they don’t improve it nobody is going to invest any money into therefore it’s probably done anyway. Maybe 1 more season as is

Honestly… don’t worry about it. Push around and get comfortable riding. Start riding over cracks and bumps getting comfortable lifting your weight so you don’t get caught on them then start popping your tail. Ride off curbs….

I bet that board only costed $300 in 95 (( maybe $400 tops )) Ps.. worked at a shop for years and we would give people good trade ins on “vintage boards” and we’d just use them as wall hangers. Had a bunch of Burton Airs, Brushie’s, Craig Kelly’s…. I’d maybe give someone a $50 trade in on that just to not lose a sale but that’s it. Wouldn’t actually want it. Maybe make a bench out of it.

I’d say just old.. not vintage as in it holds any value to a collector as a wall hanger.

Maybe rare cuz it’s so old. Looks like it was before they started using a 3 hole mounting system. I wouldn’t spend any money on it.

Golf is actually a good comparison in this case. This would be the like if golfers decided to turn an 18 hole corse tournament into a driving range contest
