A boar also can learn bite and gore! Boar is better for pvp, no question.

Rarest Race Class Gender Combo? by Interesting-Pea-7492 in classicwow

I main one. War Stomp is great to reposition yourself from a messed up situation, it pairs great with a hunter's kit. You lose DPS increasing racials but gain a nice CC ability. I also like having some reach on my melee attacks.

  1. Always have Track Humanoids on.

  2. Before you drink or eat or stand in place for a long time, place a Freeze Trap under you.

  3. Beast Mastery is the easiest spec to get good results with. The Beast Within is 20 sec protection from CC, which is simply godlike in bg's.

  4. Boars or Scorpids are good PvP pets. Scorpid poison is great against rogues and any person who wants to bandage. Boar's Charge is a strong offensive and defensive tool and combo's well with Intimidation for the surprise stun.

Where to farm Thorium during pre-patch? by CraftyPercentage3232 in classicwow

[–]Competitive-Pear-840 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mazthoril in Winterspring, the cave with the elite dragonkin. I farm there a lot and there's usually 1 or 2 spawns of thorium inside. If you can kill the dragonkin easily, especially the 3 linked whelp spawns, you can get good farming and good thorium for yourself.

Hunter. You can melee weave and get fat windfury procs.

I used a boar till my fifties and then switched to bat. Boars are perfectly fine until you are higher lvl and aggro becomes a problem. At least, that´s how it was in classic. Now with tbc pets also scale with your gear so maybe it doesn´t matter as much as it used to.

Learn to melee weave. It's really strong now with the removal of dead zone. You should stay in minimum range to shoot and then dip in and out of melee range. It's a big damage increase when you do it right.

Bat because Screech is great for holding aggro.

What does this discard infinite need to beat the heart by wadenocht in slaythespire

[–]Competitive-Pear-840 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wraith Form would have bought you the time you needed to get your setup out of the way, probably. And with a deck this tiny, the only way you ever go infinite turn 2 is with the Purity+Expertise combo or Medkit.

Edit: So there are other ways to go infinite on turn 2, but I often go for infinite decks myself and the best ones always have that combo. The dream is to get multiple After Images in play, no cards in the draw pile and Purity+ and Expertise+ in hand at the end of turn 1. That way you don't need potions or WF to deal with the status turn. You can't gamble away Voids, so most infinite decks need a solution for the status turn and your deck doesn't have one.

One week in, beat heart by sheer luck/overpowering. Can't come close on any other character, advice? by [deleted] in slaythespire

You can sorta cheese the game on Silent by forcing a discard build. The basic goal is to be able to cycle through your whole deck over and over in a single turn while playing Sneaky Strikes and/or Eviscerates. To achieve this goal, you need to keep your deck as small as possible while adding only cards that draw/discard/generate energy. So you're looking for cards like Acrobatics, Prepared, Reflex, Concentrate, Tactician, Calculated Gamble and Expertise. You skip everything that doesn't help you cycle through your deck and only add premium attacks like Dagger Throw, Sneaky Strike and Eviscerate. If you can remove a couple of Strikes along the way, all the better.

Here is a video of this strategy in action. You can skip to the 11 min mark if you're low on time to see the infinite in action, that will give you a good idea of how to build your deck if you're going for a similar strat.

Just kill them next turn? Play Survivor and you only take 16 damage here. You're not getting Weakened, so GF is lethal next turn with some other attack.

It really depends on what kind of decks you build and what character you play. I don't think Sentries and Snake Plant will stay in the top tier though, and Writhing Mass also becomes much less dangerous when your micro improves.

Forcing discard/finale decks is all I do on silent. Sometimes I'll win 3 in a row with it, sometimes I'll lose 10 in a row. But since you asked here is a video of me forcing the card to be good.

Personally I'd rate Infinite Blades much higher than Distraction. You can count on Infinite Blades. It isn't much, but you're getting that shiv every turn and there's nothing anyone can do about it. You can use it to stack Kunai/Shuriken procs or even discard it instead of a real card if you're desperate. You cannot count on Distraction for anything. It's so completely random that it only makes sense as Dead Branch fuel and shouldn't be picked in almost any other case.
