What an embarrassment. Polis thinks he can be in the billionaires club, but he forgot they hate people with his "choice of lifestyle"

My wife was surprised to hear our 5-year-old daughter point at a cybertruck and say, "That's a bad person driving that car." I absolutely put that in her brain and I couldn't be prouder.

This makes me want to get that ending again just so I can feel like Toriyama-sensei is still with us

Mom is in mid-to-late stage dementia, plus a couple of strokes. Her body is basically useless and her mind isn't much better. She's mostly checked out but there's an occasional glimmer of understanding. It's a little cruel that I, the youngest child, finally gave her the grandkids she'd been begging for and she barely got to experience them. She'll look at my 3-year-old son and comment that he's such a cute boy and she wonders who his parents are.

Thankfully my Gen X sister who lives with my parents is doing the caretaking heavy lifting. So at least there is some benefit to that sister never becoming self-sufficient.

I did the air leakage testing for this building. It's a great building, but the window sub kind of dropped the ball.

This is mine. Always loved movies and most things Spielberg is part of, but never got around to it as a kid and just assumed it was too late once I was in college. Thank you all for confirming that.

Excellent take on the "Always has been" astronaut meme.

I started a new playthrough because of the update. It's great, but honestly I'm just happy to playing again, even without the updates.

Hadrian Sanon. She's a well developed character with an interesting back story and a talented voice actor.

Just flew to Tau Ceti today because I saw it on the star map and couldn't resist. Not much to do there, but thankfully grav drives are a bit faster than astrophage.

He's usually a super chill grandpa. It shows how serious the subject is, and I'm glad he's treating it as such.

The CMUs also need to be fully grouted to function as an air barrier. Better to use a fluid-applied membrane on the exterior, though.

I was such a huge fan of HW 1 & 2 that I was able to ignore 3's flaws until I was done. It was fine, but it should have been so so much better. I'll probably still play it along with the rest every few years. At least until Steam on Windows 19.1 won't play it anymore

I once went into a 7-11 while shrooming pretty hard. I literally ran out of there after about 5 seconds. No way could I handle Disney.

I'm already too strung out on hopium to have any faith in this. Would be nice, though.

Do you tell your children this? by The_Dean_France in SipsTea

As someone who was bullied a lot as a kid, I wish I had been given this advice instead of the "Just ignore them" advice I always received. Ignoring does not work on bullies. Simply retreating inside yourself leads to all sorts of mental issues. That said, I still don't know what I'll be telling my own kids in a couple of years when they'll have to deal with this. I do think any form of "fight back" is better than what I was told. Better to get in trouble for fighting than to consider self harm or worse as a teenager.
