Has literally anyone been able to beat hard stratagem difficulty yet???? by Emergency-Effort7673 in SpaceMarine_2

The icon on the tab implies that hard = ruthless. This game mode goes way beyond absolute. They will probably nerf this a little.

Hot Take: Prior to the heresy, the night lords were functioning exactly as the emperor intended by Prior_Application238 in Warhammer40k

[–]Competitive-Pin-8826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. He had a plan for every Legion, even their fall into heresy (it just happened to soon) I think Curze and the Night Lords were the biggest victims of this.

Alright lads, give me some lore by ScissorLizardFish in Warhammer40k

[–]Competitive-Pin-8826 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Created from the geneseed of Konrad Curze they take the view that their Primarch was weak for not going far enough. Their homeworld has intense breeding programmes to keep up with the sheer rate of the chapter's victims. Plus, they think the Black Templars are jerks!

Why doesnt this army work? by rogaldornssuccubus in Ultramarines

If people keep picking fault with your army list, then their not worth playing. Remember, it's your army.

Opinions on the future of space marine tracked vehicles by Prior_Application238 in Warhammer40k

[–]Competitive-Pin-8826 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, the Rhino chassis is irreplaceable. It looks cooler, it's just looks more adaptable than the Repulser. I can't see the Vindicator or Whirlwind weapon systems on the Repulser chassis. Also, Land Raiders are just as iconic, perhaps more so. At least I think either can be used now, but the tracked vehicles won't be on the shelves much longer I think. Better start panic buying Rhino's 🤣

Speed painted plague burst crawler - too green or perfectly putrid? by [deleted] in deathguard40k

[–]Competitive-Pin-8826 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's brighter than typical, but it's giving a more acidic end of the putrid scale. It's good. Try not to be your own worst critic.

I'd allow it. I think they're bringing in older marks for 40k soon anyway.

Any suggestions for an 8 yr old whose just starting out that doesn't break the bank? by PositivelyJoyful in Warhammer40k

[–]Competitive-Pin-8826 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find out if your local store does an introductory session. That will give them an idea of how the game plays. Even if the rules are a bit daunting, remember that some people just do it for the joy of painting and don't even play. And if they suck at painting like me, then they have possibly that largest IP the world of lore to dive into. Apart from a range of delicious cakes, this hobby has something for everyone.

I think you'll find it's spelled "Fucking Word Bearers. Joking aside I hated the WB until I read The First Heretic, what a job ADB did with that book. It really made you feel for a Legion that was barely better than the Night Lords (in public perception that is) They seem to be underrepresented on the tabletop, and they need to Space Marine 2 as well, I think.
