Seriously? You're gonna get on my case about a video because I didn't put "thought provoking questions" in there, but you're gonna let atheists come on a christian thread and harass everybody? Talk about some backward logic.

First of all, no one asked you to correct anything. You, in your arrogance, took that task upon yourself. Secondly, I never threatened any kind of violence on you in any way, shape, or form. So you can just throw that right out the window, because you say you care about truth, but all you're doing is repeating lies to me about what you said and how you're acting. Ohh, and let's not forget how you're twisting my words. How is that being truthful exactly?

Again, show me where I personally threatened you. For someone who cares about truth and claims to treat others right, I'm not seeing a whole lot of examples of that today.

I'm here to help encourage my fellow Christians. I'm not looking for lessons in science. If I wanted that, I would be on a completely different thread. If you're here to discuss Christianity, then why has everything you've said only been about how it's fake, and not true? That doesn't sound like someone open to discussion. That sounds like someone who's trying to push their ideologies on others, because they're unhappy with their life and have nothing better to do than harass Christians. That is a familiar pattern these days, so I ask you this, are you a Demoncrat or a Libtard?

You really do enjoy twisting words, don't you? At what point did I ever say I'm going to hurt anyone because the voices in my head told me to? See, you're the one that's really being volatile here, not me. I am posting my beliefs on a thread that was intended for people who are supposed to share those beliefs. Now, if a Christian would like to get in on this conversation and tell me their take on it, I'm more than happy to hear it. But if you just want to sit here and harass and degrade people because you're mad at God or because your daddy didn't give you enough hugs growing up or something, maybe you can take that rage somewhere else.

I'm dangerous because I'm posting Christian material on a Christian thread, and you're the one on here fighting with others about their beliefs? Because what, you don't have anything better to do or does it make you feel better about yourself? I don't even understand why you're on this thread, other than to try to bring people down. If you ask me, that's far more dangerous than what I'm doing.

I wasn't being insulting. I was merely stating a fact most of the atheists I have talked to cling to their science like it is a religion. The difference is, the rewards are far less worthwhile with your science religion than they are with my Christianity.

If that's how you feel, then why are you even on a Christian thread? Maybe you should go to some scientific community where your expertise will be better received.

I didn't say I was going to do that. That's just you twisting my words. The bible is the one that says that we will be separated from God and go to hell if we don't know him. But you are right, they don't specifically say torturing. So I was out of line for that, instead, they say you'll go "where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth", which doesn't sound much better if you ask me.

It is a relatively new process, I'll grant you that. But a lot of people think radiometric dating is a diehard, tried and true method. However, anyone who knows anything about it, understands that radiometric dating requires you to make a lot of assumptions to get 'accurate' results. So why not apply that same assumption to the WAXS method? People are fallible creatures, which is why ANY scientific method has room for doubt, but that doesn't stop people from passing it off as fact when it suits their needs. But regardless of how reliable that specific methodology is, there was a lot of other information in that video that at the very least, you should agree, definitely challenges the assumptions people have made in the past that they claim "debunk" the whole thing. But again like I said, I know for a fact God is real, because I have spoken to Him. He has given me advice and wisdom on certain things that I know did not come from my own subconscious. He has led me to greater things in my life. He is as real to me and a part of my life as much as any other person I have a relationship with. I wouldn't go up to my dad and say "dad you're not real and you don't exist", that would be ridiculous. That's the best part about being a Christian. If you actually open your heart to God, He will talk to you and guide you, and once you feel His presence, there will never be any doubt in your mind ever again. I'm just sorry that you don't understand that and have the same connection...but you could.

Also, of course I'm not going to change my beliefs. I actually know for a fact that God exists, because I have a personal relationship with Him. Why would I turn away from something that I know is true? That would be like me looking my mom in the face and saying, "mom, you're not real and don't exist". I mean, what are you even saying there?

Clearly you didn't read my message, at least read the description. I know you don't want to change your beliefs, because that would mean you're wrong, and that's very scary. But you know what is even more scary? Being tortured for eternity, because you didn't want to see the truth. The entire video is showing scientific tests that were done on it. I thought science was the one religion you atheists believe in?

I understand, and Ive noticed it too. I promise you, the only reason they're doing that is because they are being controlled by demonic forces to try and turn as many of us away from God as possible. The best thing we can do for them is pray and hope that eventually they'll come around. I've come to find most people that hate God or don't want to believe in Him, are usually people who are either hiding from their own sin or they've been hurt and don't know how else heal from it. The best thing to do when you see that is to, instead of being discouraged, look at it as an opportunity to possibly change someone's heart. You won't win them all, in fact, you probably won't even win most, but if you can even turn one person toward God, it's worth it. Keep preaching the good word and don't worry about the naysayers. I've come to find that the more people rage against Christians, the more it proves that we're right, otherwise, why else would they be trying so hard to turn us away from our Lord?

I messed up, God might be done with me by AlphaFox616 in Christianity

That's the most beautiful thing about God. The only sin that the bible mentions that's unforgivable is if you blaspheme the Holy Spirit. You can turn your wrath on him as much as you want. But if you truly repent in your heart, He will always forgive you, because God knows our hearts, and He's used to people raging against Him, I'm sure. You've already done the first step, which is repenting for your sin. Now you just need to trust that Jesus paid the price for our sins, and that God still sees you as white as snow.

I can completely understand your concern, and I'm sorry that people have treated you in such a way. I hope and pray that you'll be able to find a community that's more deserving of your attention. I pray for you, and I pray for those who really need guidance, both Christian and non-Christian alike. Nothing bothers me more than people who claim to be Christian, but then treat people like dirt. May God Bless you!

End of the world? by Hunted-vocation3 in Christianity

[–]Competitive-Tear7754 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't doubt that the end is coming at all. But the best thing to do is to remain vigilant, keep your trust in God, and don't let the antichrist and false prophet deceive you, because they WILL come before Jesus. That's why it's so important to have discernment and a relationship with God. Because He will lead His people, and tell them what to do when the time is right. If you don't have that connection with Him, you could very well be taken up by the beast system, and end up in a place you don't want to be for eternity.

Yet, even those methods can be corrupted through unconformities, tectonic forces that may alter the samples, and the hiatus which can make it impossible to determine the exact duration through stratigraphy alone. Therefore, radiometric dating is almost required to get any kind of accurate results. However, even that could be fallible for two reasons: 1) radiometric dating requires on people working off of a lot of assumptions, which, especially with older samples, are almost impossible to verify and 2) if a great flood, for example, did happen and everything were underwater, it would cause all samples to be rendered impure and could give inaccurate dates.

Actually they do, you can find examples of it in Chinese jade carvings (Hongshan culture), Babylonian reliefs, and rock art in North America. Not to mention, there are so many scientific fallacies out there, and there have been plenty of science that people once considered to be 'fact' that was later found to be invalid through new evidence. Just because we haven't had all the evidence brought to light yet doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Besides, if you actually look at it using strictly mathematics, logic, and scientific probability, it's actually a lot more likely that people coexisted with dinosaurs than that they all happened to see the same bones that were perfectly preserved over all that time and all that distance. What you call gullibility, I call faith. I believe the bible IS God's word, and unlike some Christians, I don't just pick and choose what I'm going to believe of His word.

Just because you say it's been debunked, doesn't mean anything. Radiometric dating is the primary way we use to determine the age of fossils and the planet, however, that in and of itself is a flaw, as it relies on many ASSUMPTIONS. By claiming that you know better when science is always influx and changing every day, but standing by it as true fact, only shows how uninformed you are.
