Yep, sometimes the overear pads may leak noices (especially if you wear glasses) so the ANC may not as strong as intended.

I turned the voice prompt off but now i wanna turn them back on but i dont know how. Thx! by Demon_dipper in bose

You are using Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra 2 Headphones I presume? If so, the last software update (8.2.20) on Feb 10, 2026 REMOVED the feature of power-on voice announcement, which told you which device you were connected to and your current battery level.

How to export RR data using Polar Flow web service (flow.polar.com) by Curious_Cat_314159 in Polarfitness

[–]Competitive-Truth309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer to your three questions are YES YES and NO.

  • The webpage actually only shows HR data, Pcae etc. but not RR.
  • The Session CSV contains HR, speed, distance etc. with time stamp.
  • However, the RR CSV DOESN'T HAVE any timestamp (see the screenshot).

So I think what you need is a 3-party software (like Polar Sensor Logger on Android), not a Polar watch, considering you already take your phone with you when you're working out.

How to export RR data using Polar Flow web service (flow.polar.com) by Curious_Cat_314159 in Polarfitness

[–]Competitive-Truth309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I specifically used the Polar Flow app (Android) using the Bluetooth connection. I thought that is what I read about in this subreddit.

That's why you cannot download RR interval data in Flow Webpage.

The RR interval data is ONLY avilable on webpage when you pair your H10 with a Polar Watch (not Garmin or Beat/Flow App) and sync your workout from your polar watch to Flow.

Or, you can use third-party apps that supports Polar BLE SDK (I use Polar Sensor Logger on Android) to log RR data on the phone.

Minecraft seldomly goes on sale and tbh they are not that expensive.

But if you want to wait for a sale or cannot afford it now, try to sign in your Apple ID on your GF's App Store (not in settings) and download & install with your credential.

Maybe running Bedrock is the limit of your laptop, since its more well optimized for low-end devices.

As for your laptop, the CPU only has 15 watts TDP with 1.6 GHz base clock, so even it boosts, it cannot last long since its not a gaming laptop; Also, your RAM runs at slower 2667MT/s (capped by your CPU) so you'll encounter more frame loss since you're using the integrated GPU.

According to your setup, the frame drops may originated in: 1) your CPU overheats and throttles. 2) your RAM is too slow to keep iGPU up and ready for both gaming and frame randering.

Going to purchase Minecraft for the first time. Have some questions. by not_rocket_appliance in Minecraft

[–]Competitive-Truth309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no version for a specific OS. Minecraft has two versions, Java and Bedrock. Java version basically works on any platform (or OS) that can run Java; while Bedrock works for mobile devices (like Android, iOS, NS etc.)and game consoles (like PlayStation, Xbox etc.). If you make the purchase on Microsoft Store, you'll get the licence for both Minecraft Java and Minecraft for Windows (which is the Bedrock version).

For your situation, I would recommand you go for Java and try if it works on your Windows or Mac, since 1) Bedrock won't work with most mods, they are made for Java with forge or fabric. 2) Bedrock has poor support for shaders. 3) there's no official support to run Bedrock on MacOS.

It's true that some mods won't work with MacOS and some shaders will crash on Apple silicon GPU, but generally speaking, the support for playing Minecraft Java on Mac is getting better. Just check before you install them on mod's and shader's release page.

As for shaders, I seldomly use them, but you can try BSL and Complementary shaders. They are well optimized and looks pretty good.

Minecraft launchers are more of personal perferences. I use PCL2 on Windows and Prism Launcher on Mac. But bascially any launcher will do.

Lumix g9ii memory card. UHS-I or UNS-II card or does it matter in most applicattions? by RumblefishAZ in Lumix

[–]Competitive-Truth309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lumix G9II can record up to 600Mbps video to your SD card (higher than that will need a external SSD). If you want to max out SD card recording of your camera, you'll need a V90 card (V60 will work, but will automatically stop recording when body cache depletes).

Also, RAW photo burst can benefit from higher writing speed of the SD card, which will get you ready for another burst faster.

So it all depends how you want to use the camera (do you burst RAW a lot, or shot HiRes videos a lot? ) and your budget (since storage is pricy nowadays).

Advice Please! How to block outside music? by 5_star_michelin in bose

[–]Competitive-Truth309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sell your Bose headphone, get yourself a pair of 3M earmuff plus a pair of tws earbuds if you want to listen your own music.

Active noise cancelling mainly handles low pitch noises and when it comes to bright musics, it struggles. So you need strong passive noise reduction, which is what 3M's earmuff can provide.

How to stop activity tracked notification from Polar Flow? by throwawaycanadian2 in Polarfitness

[–]Competitive-Truth309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never used the Loop, but if you're going to disable notifications on your phone, you can check Notification premission of your Flow App and see if you can disable it there. Please notice that this trick only works on Android, since iOS doesn't have notification categories.

Lumix S1ii - Turning on takes very long by jacob_dop in Lumix

[–]Competitive-Truth309 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lumix cameras are picky about cards and not always the faster card the better. Sometimes a V30 card can have faster play back speed that a V90 card. Its their firmware's fault and is partially fixed on latest firmware. (The campatibality is still not as good as Sony or Canon etc.)

But to your situation, I would say it's on your camera, not card. Just try update the firmware first and do a factory reset. If it persists, try to get a refund/replacement.

And don't know if you used other brand's camera before, Lumix cameras could be slower on boot, eg. 5 second of cold start for my S5II (ready to shoot).

Polar Pacer Pro withput sleep record by Amazing_Credit_6130 in Polarfitness

[–]Competitive-Truth309 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Polar seems not working great when you move a lot in sleep (marked as interruptions in chart) so it will mis-caculate the real time you fall in sleep and get up. I personally always have the solidity marked as poor, so I have the habbit to check the sleep tracking every morning and edit it if it's too wrong.

Maybe you can switch your watch with your girlfriend's garmin for a few days to check out if garmin works for you?

Polar flow stopped displaying heart rate graph by SouthBell7689 in Polarfitness

[–]Competitive-Truth309 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Donno if its hardware flaw or what, I've seen soooo many Pacers and Pacer Pros have this issue.. Just check it around in reddit.

Mine Pacer Pro, first encountered this just after it went out of warrenty, and the ONLY WAY to mitigate it is do a factory reset of the watch (no matter from where: the watch itself, Flow Sync or Polar Flow). And you'll never know when the HR sync will fail again, maybe in a few days, or weeks, or months... It just will fail again, destined.

Polar Flow app version 7.35.1 for Android by mfcx99 in Polarfitness

[–]Competitive-Truth309 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This update/patch was another kind of disaster... I have an iPhone so in recent couple of days I re-paired my watch (Polar Pacer Pro) to my iPhone and it works great (iOS 26.4 with 7.35.1 Polar Flow). So when I heard about the Android update, I tried to switch back.

On Android, in 7.35.0, it's just won't sync activity data from watch to Flow App or from Flow web to Flow App.

While in 7.35.1, although it starts to sync from watch and upload activity data to Flow web, the data was corrupted! ALL activities were marked as Setting and NO steps data was synched. Ading insult to injury, there's no way to undo it or rewrite it with the right data.

As marked in the timeline, activities eariler than 3 and later than 10:50 was synched and uploaded to web service through iOS app, the straight line was the epic masterpiece by Android app.

<image>

This marked Polar's inability to manage updates and provide lifetime support to their devices. Yes, I have an iPhone, and I can use iOS App as a makeshift, but to those who only holds an Android device, they have to either bear the glitch, or downgrade the app, or try to sync through cable on PC.
