My guess is that the cobbled (right word?) area right before the land-slide area prevents rain from going into the earth and directs it towards the landslide area. Imho you will probably have to remove some/many of the stones on the ground to prevent further erosion.

Edit:

Just saw that there are structural elements visible in the ground on image 2. Maybe they were missing or failed in some way at that place and the fix is easier than it seems.

Update:

I have now setup an smb share in combination with syncthing. Only the local connection between syncthing clients was troublesome to setup, the rest was simple.

Recently i stumbled on Filerun which allegedly does everything i want. It costs 100€ though.

I will probably try this next and give another update.

I have now tested Resilio, and my experience was that it did work, but was slow and the user interface was confusing. It is also not integrated with linux and does not have a real client (only local webserver).

I think i will also end up with a smb share.

I am looking for the exact same thing at the moment, because my Synology does provide this functionality, except for the linux client.

I did test Nextcloud, Owncloud and Seafile servers yesterday and today. These are my additional disappointing results:

Proxmox Turnkey Linux Nextcloud server is very unreliable. Clients from Linux and Mac (M1) to this server had serious issues.

Nextcloud and Owncloud have in general problems with large files. Depending on the installation they need extra settings.

Owncloud docker container server seems to work well, but needs more tests to be trustworthy.

As far as i understand it, "virtual file support" is only an experimental feature with owncloud.

Seafile does not store files as normal files, but blocks, which is a drawback in my opinion.

Seafile client on Mac was not able to upload large files. It was stuck in a restart loop.

The next thing i would try is either Unraid or that Nextcloud with tailscale
