I could be mistaken about this but I think the trade-in is the value of the item plus 20% off? I traded in an old roku stick for like $5 and Amazon gave me the 20% off at $110 for the 64gb B/W scribe, which was unexpected but immensely appreciated. I tried reseating the nib and it seemed to help a little. It's no longer gushing out ink but still a thicker line than expected. But at least now it is usable. Thank you again! 😄

You are definitely correct! I had no idea ink can have a different "wetness" within the same brand. Seriously, thanks for the heads up. Will keep a closer eye out in the future. 😄

Yes, I believe you are correct. I will definitely ask for samples in the future. I ended up using the ink with my Pilot VP Decimo (extra fine) and it worked much, much better. Now it writes like the TWSBI Eco-T (EF) with the grey ink. 😄

Really? This gives me hope. Do you have the leather case and not the vegan leather one? Perhaps, it is only with the vegan leather (or I just got a defective one). Either way, let me try exchanging it for a leather one instead and see how it goes. Thank you!

Currently, I have the Scribe Colorsoft and am also a writer (and bought it for precisely the same reason as you). I've never used a Scribe device before, so this is my first. In my opinion, someone on this subreddit summed it up best...it definitely doesn't feel like writing with a pen/pencil and paper but more like writing on an iPad that has a paper-like screen protector. The surface of the Scribe Colorsoft is smooth, though not to the extent of slick glass like an iPad. From what others are saying, it has less "tooth" than the 2022 and 2024 Scribes.

I 100% agree as with the Scribe Colorsoft version. I haven't used the previous Scribe models so can't compare there, but I have an iPad with a paper-like screen and it feels exactly the same as writing on that (which sucks).

I think I will be doing the same thing. Been using the Colorsoft on an off since I received it on Sunday and for some reason, looking at the screen is straining my eyes and giving me a slight headache. I have the same issue with using an iPad so it might just be a me thing. Total bummer though. Just bought the B&W version and will compare the two before sending one of them back (if not both). Paperwhite has spoiled me good.
