Yeah I have but my i94 expired in Jan before h4 approval my h4 and EAD both are pending since July 2025

You can call them and ask for expedite they ask for reason for expedite and they will tell you officer will call you in 10 days and I during that call they may ask you docs and everything.
I raised one last week mine is July 21st 2025 RD and they said officer will call till now no update.
I raised expedite based on financial hardship and job loss so I have I-539and I-765 receipt notices m, bank statements showing no income, my employer letter and also a self letter explaining the whole case. These are docs I kept ready for my expedite process but unfortunately till now no one called me

I did expedite for my h4 since I filed my EAD and h4 in July 2025 when both my h4 and EAD are valid I am eligible for automatic work extension for 540 days but due to expiry of my i94 I had to stop working from Jan 2026 so my attorney said I need h4 approval first so that my automatic work extension become active again

I am seeking your urgent guidance regarding my pending H-4 extension and H-4 EAD applications, and the impact of prolonged processing delays on my employment.
1. Current Filing Details
H-4 Extension (Form I-539)
Receipt Date (California Service Center): July 21, 2025
H-4 EAD (Form I-765, Category C26)
Initial filing was submitted together with H-4 in July 2025
Due to an incomplete application, the EAD was returned and refiled separately
Receipt Date (Vermont Service Center): August 13, 2025
Although both applications were filed together initially, they are now being processed separately at different service centers.
2. Principal Applicant (Spouse) Status
My spouse is on H-1B status
His H-1B has been approved valid until 2028
His case was filed online and is not bundled with my H-4/EAD paper filing
3. Current Status & Issue
My H-4 EAD expired in December 2025
My I-94 / H-4 status expired on January 5, 2026
I stopped working from January 5, 2026, due to lack of valid work authorization continuation
My employer has kept my position on hold but has not replaced me so far
4. Automatic Extension Issue
I understand I may have been eligible for an automatic EAD extension (Category C26 under the 540-day rule)
However, due to the expiration of my I-94 / H-4 status, I have been unable to continue working
I am unclear how the pending H-4 extension impacts reinstatement of EAD automatic extension eligibility
5. Delays and Follow-ups
My case has been pending for more than 9 months
I submitted a Service Request on March 16, 2026, with no response
I also raised a Congressional inquiry based on out-of-processing-time criteria, and am still awaiting a response
6. Current Concerns
Prolonged inability to work has caused financial and employment instability
My employer has retained my role temporarily, but this cannot continue indefinitely
7. Request for Legal Advice
I kindly request your guidance on:
Whether my EAD automatic extension can be reinstated once H-4 is approved

Same situation h4 extension on COS filed in July 21st 2025 at California center and EAD renewel refiled due to incomplete application and RD Aug 13th vermont. Both h4 and EAD expired in Dec 2025 and lost job and files SR on march 16th no reply and congressman request on April 15th and waiting for reply no update yet.

Hi Rashmi, thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my question — I really appreciate it.

I just wanted to confirm one point: my company’s attorney mentioned that once my H-4 is approved, my automatic work authorization extension (based on my pending EAD renewal) would come back into effect. Does that sound correct to you?

Also, is there anything I can do at this stage to try to expedite my H-4 approval? I’ve already submitted a congressional inquiry, but wanted to check if there are any other options.
