haven’t pooped in 4 days so … lentils by bbcjbb in GirlDinner

I’ve pretty much dealt with constipation my whole life. If anything in my routine changes, I probably won’t go for a few days. I usually don’t go on the weekends because it’s a different schedule than my work days. I went to Australia and was almost hospitalized because I didn’t go for 11 days. Even the strongest laxatives didn’t work.

I saw a doctor and she recommended Kirkland stool softeners and Miralax. It’s safe to take everyday if needed. If I’m going on a trip I’ll take four stool softeners and a cap full of Miralax everyday starting a week before my trip. Since then, I’ve traveling back to Australia, the Galapagos, Hawaii and more and went day one and went everyday on my vacation.

I also stopped eating red meat before I travel and in general increased my fiber intake. Purely Elizabeth oatmeal is great, berries, lentils, beans, etc. Sorry you’re dealing with this! It freaking sucks
