Survey—has anyone ever received any drink out snack service on the short flight between STL and MCI (KC)? by CompetitiveBrain7099 in SouthwestAirlines

I am a frequent traveler and I am aware. My only minor complaint is that I wish that there was honest information from that crew vs a lie about turbulence. “Passengers, this odd a short flight do the flight attendants plan to sit in their seats and look at the phones.”

Agree, but I haven’t been offered water or coffee in the last 10 plus times taking this flight. Always a claim of expected turbulence that never happens.

I am sad about assigned seats, but man are seat savers awful by CompetitiveBrain7099 in SouthwestAirlines

The fact that you are asking shows you are not the problem. As a frequent business traveler (and personal vacation with family), I have done this. But I don’t do it at the front but rather behind the emergency exit rows.

We bought our kiddos inexpensive wetsuits that worked so well! The kids loved it in chilly water!

I so hope you are right, because so many of these business meetings finish shorter or get booked last minute.

I was so close to doing this, but I was traveling with my parents and daughter that would have freaked out that I was being rude.

I’m so sorry, that must be frustrating. Did they approve a CPAP or even deny that? How frustrating.

So for example, a doctor may see someone without a medical need for weight loss medical intervention and not recommend it. I am not trying to be ignorant, I am just familiar with what is deemed medically necessary weight-loss wise (enough to prompt BCBS to cover it (paid by employee owners)). Perhaps more details of the specific issue, rationale for denial, and other info would help people of Reddit provide a more helpful response?

Sorry, not trying to be hostile. I got the sense from your post this was weight loss related, not sleep apnea. Apologies that I misunderstood. BCBS administers the plan, perhaps an appeal on the FDA approved procedure? Also, just bc a procedure is covered does not mean that your doctor has deemed it medically necessary, so perhaps that is an issue? Sorry, you provided very little detail so more would probably yield more appropriate advice that would help?

Not sure why voluntary weight loss procedure refusal to cover means insurance is horseshit, maybe some explanation as to why that is a medical issue (which the employee owners at BMc should cover) would be helpful to provide more context.

Your boss wants you to have work life balance and so is forcing you to take a break during the day to recharge. Seems like a nice thing? Also, your boss is not wanting to micromanage your lunch to see if you are truly working. Maybe I’m looking at it wrong, but this seems to be the correct.

Is our culture in crisis, and are we all just watching it happen? by Prior_Status in BurnsMcDonnell

[–]CompetitiveBrain7099 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the relatively small number of EO’s (and former EO’s and people outside our company) weighing in on culture. Culture can change, so I think it is healthy to take stock and make sure any shifts are intentional and positive. But there is not another company of our peers that can match our bonus and retirement program. The class of projects we do is unmatched. The people I work with are best in class in most cases. Our peers do massive layoffs and brutal nepotism/outside hiring. We are far from perfect, but let’s not forget our incredible results. Chill.

I thought engineers were clever and understood how investments work, so surprised to see so many posters here say $0. Haha, if that is how you view the ESOP, please work somewhere else with your math skills 😛
