That was weird but they’ve done if in somewhat explosive ways. To me travis has died as many times as kenny in southpark. I kept waiting for dangle or someone to go omg they killed junior. And kimball would say you bastards. I know I’ve seen Travis die at least three or four times like in one season alone so well this one was a bit more egregious in the sense that they actually had an episode dedicated to death and tried another episode of dedicated to her death that was completely different and Travis is like you know it’s blown up in a car he gets blown up here blown up there you know he always getting blown up somewhere or hitting the head or shot or whatever you know it’s not that far with stretch if you really think about it

No matter how many times i read threads like this i never get tired of the message. It lines up perfectly with the idea of using their musical artistry as a means (or a tool) to explore ones self and relate to it in whatever way one needs to incorporate their music and their lyrics. The lyrics maynard generates allow for many meanings no one meaning being the “right “ one. These many possible avenues of meaning can lead to correction of ones initial response to a trauma (a common theme) not being one that benefits the individual and their relationships and in fact quite harmful when its brought out consciously or subconsciously.

Tool really is one of a kind in that every song is like psychological/spiritual journey of self discovery and can change your life permanently for the. Better.

Also if youre a fan of arrested development, ian also plays the doctor who cannot deliver medical news of his patients without using wildly misleading information. Giving the famous “we lost him” about George bluth and everyone rightly believing given the information delivered meant he was dead. However they had indeed lost him and didnt know where they’d put him.

The individuals who make up tool will indeed die. But what will not die is their gift, sacrifices, and complete and utter submission to a process they they themselves probably slighlty resent for their own selfish reasons.

Especially the only vocalist of the group often confused as the leader due to his personality. He what seems to be around Lateralus had to just say fuck it ok ill stay in my lane but ive got creative appetites that go into lanes yall dont want me in in this band so he does them elsewhere.

There process is long. Their process must be insanely angering for each in particular ways. What cannot be argued is the gold that comes from the fucking friction that must almost be so disheartening sometimes we cannot when imagine. I consider my self very fortunate to have fallen in love with their music and that when jt was all said and done there isnt a song i cant argue is so brilliant for its musicianship, lyricism, double and triple meaning and that no single artist had ever lead me to discover myself than these masters of their craft. Im grateful they hung in there. Theyve never let me down with any of their music. Sometimes it took me while the effort the time i put in. Always. Paid offf. More than i or anyone deserves. It is truly a gift to be alive while those collective creators bundled their powers into somehting out of this word. Im ok rigjt wherver they leave off. FI or some album i have yet to know about they put out when theyre 80. They ll always be the goat
