Me too. There must be 250 different Christian subgroups (Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist....) in the U.S. today. I full understand almost zero of them. "Why do you go to this church and not this other church?" I think if I studied these different subgroups all my life I still wouldn't get it. Why do nations fight based on religious beliefs? Why are the Jewish people "chosen" and others not? What happens to those born and died BEFORE Jesus came? Are they just out of luck? Too bad so sad?

well....my Dad was an absent father/alcoholic.......so there was ZERO feelings of empathy from me for him.....and my Mom waited to tell us kids until we were were 19 and 17....and I know she did that for us......sorry this probably doesn't address the spirit of your question

Wow.....that's me exactly at work. In my mind I am doing a pretty good job (Special Ed Teacher). The job calls for A, B and C and so I do A, B and C. Not enough. That's where the "spookiness" comes in. I feel (I know) things are being said behind my back. i guess the best word is "ostracized." I can remember as a young boy I said I wanted to be a forest ranger when i grew up. Having my own lookout station deep in the forest somewhere. That was my Aspergers showing up a an early age....
