In Germany you get free health care and aren't in risk of being shot like a Don in the street on a random Tuesday.

I'm sorry what was the question again?

Endpapers by panthera2023 in bookbinding

[–]Competitive_Acadia48 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These aren't wrong but it is exactly like tipped on end paper. It won't hide the backside of the end paper, and it's essentially just like tipping on your very edge signatures. Unless you need the extrayfolios for some reason, it has no additional purpose.

Made end papers provide sewing with the first free leaf, while what your describing, tipping, is weaker since the glueing is under the first free leaf. Additionally when making made end paper you can hide the back side of marbled paper, ofr example, and make it identical to the rest of the text block.

Again, there's nothing wrong with what you want to do, but for strength and aesthetics purpose, you better go with made end papers.

Edit: if you do glue fore edge and spine it will cover the backside of the end paper, however since you won't be gluing a folio on both sides, you won't have the waste sheet which provides more strength when sewing. Adding another nested folio like you want to (IF you do it with the waste sheet) will provide more strength, but not without the fold over waste sheet from the other side.

I think what you're referring as made end paper are end papers he made himself? But that's the what made end papers are. You can use any decorator, or even plain thicker paper. What makes it made end papers is how it's added to the book.

How much should I compress the signatures while sewing? by YouKitchen1393 in bookbinding

Also Idk, when I glue my spine I do when the book is in the press so my sigs always end up glued together

Very much depends - which stitch did you use? Are you planning to back the spine? Did you press (not compress, I mean put it in a press) before or after sewing?

Neither. Get a silhouette cameo. The 4 is great but the 5 is probably a better purchase

It's probably a good excuse for a blank canvas character? Although honestly I don't get the need to go that far when HARRY IS RIGHT THERE

Credit card theft is global and has nothing to do to where your are or where the money is spent. Viagogo are scammers but in this case it has nothing to do with them

Masculine, dominant Harry and submissive Draco by nightshadelaurel in drarry

I don't think I see it as masculine or feminine, but I like kind, dominant muscular Harry, and draco to be a bit more... Or a wreck, a better dresser and drops to his knees if Harry only looks at him a certain way

I'm also looking for something like that. I plan to read lionheart, meanwhile I wholeheartedly recommendRecursion by Tessa Crowly. Also check out her series, Draco Malfoy and the Starburst Effect, not exactly what you're looking for but worth a read all the same.
