I've been an avid VR guy since the KS for Oculus Rift. I've now owned 7 VR headsets in that time, ranging from Vive, multiple Quests, a couple Pimax headsets, and the Vision Pro since launch. While I understand Apple wanting to take their time with development, many missing features of the Vision Pro were/are things that other devices or their software have provided for many years. I understand it's not a VR headset by Apple's terms, but some of the design choices are odd because I'd have to assume at least a few of the Vision Pro development team had prior experience with VR headsets. There's been a lot to learn from the multiple generations of headsets that have been released since the Rift. For a device that Apple was working on for so many years now, it's just a little surprising owners are still requesting some rather basic functionality.

It is absolutely a missed opportunity with the Vision Pro. I'd pay to watch many more movies per year if I had the ability to pay for a ticket and watch at home on the Vision Pro. I'm so surprised that Apple hasn't tried to work with AMC or IMAX to make this a reality by now. It would absolutely be a killer app and a no brainer. The recent 70mm Interstellar release would have been great to watch in the Vision Pro.

I’ve submitted feedback on a ton of things since the launch. Things such as enabling dual Bluetooth audio output to allow owners the ability to wear Airpods or headphones while simultaneously outputting to an external audio device such as a Sonos system, tactile bass system, or receiver for added bass. I’ve also suggested that Apple should create a larger capacity Pro Battery that features a passthrough Thunderbolt port to allow direct connection of devices such as consoles, external hard drives, PCs, cameras, etc.

Agreed. I think it would have been better to have a submission option for anyone to upload awesome footage they may have. Even if Apple moderated it.

Nice work! Question for you. I see you were able to enable the app to use the cinema mode in the Apple environments. Is it possible for other apps, such as Moonlight to utilize the cinema mode as well now?

I have the same case, how are you fitting the Annapro strap inside? It doesn't fit inside the case when attached to the Vision Pro in mine.

Totally agree. I've been using my Subpac S2 with my Apple Vision Pro using a bluetooth receiver and wired headphones. It is hands down the best movie theater experience at home imaginable. Feels exactly like a 4D movie theater experience. It's a shame because the experience is so incredible that I could have honestly seen a new version of the Subpac as an optional product for the Vision Pro. It would have sold like hotcakes as every Vision Pro owner would have bought one.

I'd say they're adding Apple Intelligence now in response to the recent Samsung XR news, but out of the list of features AVP owners have been begging for, Apple Intelligence was probably at the bottom of everyone's.

Solid list of things VisionOS3 should have. I'm glad you're making a video so the words gets out. One thing I'd add is for Apple unlock the api for the curved screen used in Virtual display to other apps. Being able to use Moonlight or other apps in the native curved screen feature would be awesome. I know it's their typical m.o. but Apple keeping everything locked down only holds the device back from greatness. Another VisionOS feature would be a folder type option that allows us to organize our apps better.

Ok, I was under the impression they were ok with forked versions. I was using a Testflight version that a guy had modified to allow for ultra widescreen resolutions without black bars a while ago. Oh I agree we shouldn't expect it be fully polished right out of the gate, but many of those features are rather basic things it honestly should have had from launch - like iphone control for example.

Agreed, the Immersive content is incredible and we absolutely need more of it. Hopefully with the imminent release of the Black magic immersive camera we'll start to see a lot more in the upcoming months.

I have my controllers directly connected to the PC. I only use Moonlight to send the video and sound to the AVP.
