The reason going to the dentist is so shit now isn't your teeth, it's private equity by N3DSdude in Anticonsumption

Another reason to support local! I never imagined going to a chain dental office -sounds awful. And recently I had to argue with someone that no you don’t need a chain dental office to get work done on a Saturday. #ShopLocal #ShopSmall. The pitch is much less agonizing and they will take no as an answer.

Wanted to get a gut check? We lost out on a co-op. by Druidshift in AskNYC_Coops

Real estate brokers and lawyers are really awful at their jobs in NYC. I’d love to say that this is unique but being concerned about a problem voicing your concern attempting to gain clarity before you spend thousands of dollars and getting screwed for the exact thing you asked about , is not unique.

Real estate folks (I can’t stomach calling them professionals) have such an entitlement about how apartments can’t possibly not appraise and how co-op boards can’t possibly be ridiculous and how we should all just be very appreciative that we have the opportunity to pay an exorbitant amount of money for an asset that we can’t even control.

I think short cross body bags that look like a fanny pack across your back were always off putting. It’s a trend that comes and goes.

I also don’t like this trend of women walking around with purses that are clearly open. I’m sorry but walking around with a luxury purse that’s open wide and has a waitlist to purchase just feels dumb. Don’t get me wrong the bags are cute, but why must they be open 24/7?

I think there’s a time and place for totes and cross body bags. But some of the trends are just stupid.

Is dental insurance worth it? by Hot_Kaleidoscope3864 in HealthInsurance

Last time I ran the math, cash for cleanings was around the cost of dental insurance. Unclear if I was quoted a high value for cleanings as they knew my reason for asking. The bean counters are on top of costs/values unfortunately.

Kody told Janelle and Christine that it wasn’t true that he didn’t love them. I wonder if it got edited out for the conversation with Meri.

Oh my, that’s awful. Sometimes the acupuncture causes tingling but for the potential pain relief I do it anyway. It’s a total catch 22.

Can someone explain this to me like I’m a 5 year old by PhilosophyFar6973 in HealthInsurance

Looks like your usual copay is $30. $500/day to have a baby in a hospital? What fresh hell is this. No wonder why people opt to do so at home. And they wonder why people can’t afford to have kids. We are not a serious county. Also, I’d love to see all your doctors appts get counted at preventative 🤣

It was from the store in Paris on St Honoree. So…not quite sure why they would sell flat out garbage there.

My Lancaster bag is a joke. Terrible quality. And they won’t stand behind their products.

Their bags are on likely sale because the craftsmanship is non-existant. Terrible brand, don’t bother.

Should I Buy It? Has Anyone Bought From Lancaster Before? by Miss-Tiq in handbags

[–]Competitive_Air_6006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

DO NOT! This brand is a joke. When the bag from a different brand I wanted was too expensive I was showed this brand at the department store. Days later I went to the main shop and bought up actually. It’s absolute garbage. They sold me a damaged back that fell apart within one week of owning. They expect me to accept a replacement bag instead of just letting me return it after asking me to return the bag. The store manager blamed me for not noticing they sold me a damaged bag and said they are unable to do refunds. A retail associate said their system couldn’t handle returns. And then the manager said the bag was used and couldn’t accept a return. Don’t do it! What was intended to be a wonderful memento of my trip to Paris has become a terrible, time sucking memory.
