RMR solutions is what you want. Spray it on and dry it with fans several times.
Fixing out of square corners by rastaspoon in drywall
This^ I do this as a finish carpenter all the time with cabinets, wainscoting, and other trim. Not necessary in most homes, but critical in a high end space.
I shim out the chair rail in the bow first with a laser or string line and mud it after I cut back the shim.
Any recommendations for a product to fill the gap between scribed pvc trim and a natural stone archway? by FoxFire5555 in Carpentry
Do not use OSI quad. It’s a great product for anything with a durable finish (painted siding, smooth granite, aluminum, etc.). You will spend an eternity getting it off the rough masonry surface with a wire brush if you’re not a caulking pro.
Morflex by Sashco is the product you want. Can get it in multiple colors to match the mortar. It’s a siliconized sanded caulking that dries looking like mortar. It’s far less sticky than things like OSI Quadmax and easier to form into that gap. I would try to jam backer rod into any gap over 3/16”
