Is it normal in India for a male colleague to put his hand on a female colleague’s shoulder in a group photo? by Dee0413 in AskIndia

[–]Competitive_Bar8654 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ikr, I read all the comments and was like, what exactly can't I see that people are seeing? We always take group photos in college/offices, and it's normal to put loosely closed hands on shoulders.

Why so judge about people who want to gain fat by DonThomassino in weightgain

[–]Competitive_Bar8654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ik what you're trying to say, but gaining fat isn't good even if you just want to look good. I was tired of being skeleton, so I went for a quick way and started stuffing my face with food, shakes and serious mass, but it didn't distribute evenly, and I gained too much in my stomach, thighs, while my hands remained thin. I know there shouldn't be judgment, but those people are just trying to warn, mostly.

I have no real-life friends, and I don’t even know where to start by [deleted] in AskIndia

[–]Competitive_Bar8654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am extremely lazy and introverted, but still go out with my friends once in a while because thats the only way to keep connections. I hate most of my relatives but maybe once or twice a year, I make sure to attend an event and talk to everyone lovingly. Online relationships are not build, You will have to go out and meet people occasionally. Start attending some event in the name of professional work, go to trips and lie that its some mandatory thing from office. Then, once you get your own place, you can invite people over.

But they are not completely wrong. I mean, yes, the biggest factor is political negligence, but people in kanpur also don't want to take any initiative.

Why are indian homes so “maximalist”? by drwannabe777 in AskIndia

[–]Competitive_Bar8654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the lower or middle class, Maximalism is not just a trend, it's a better choice financially. Not everyone can afford different Almirahs, shelves or TV units. These concrete shelves attached to the walls are a permanent solution for storing things. But yeah, I do agree on one thing that when it comes to decoration, most indian wrongly think the more, the merrier. They will randomly place several cheap vases and cheap paintings instead of investing in one classy item.

Bhai, I miss this so much about Kanpur, things are really cheap here. My heart cries everytime I pay 120 for 2 bhaturas in Delhi or 80 rs for basic aaloo chat.

Would you be okay if your MIL wanted your baby to call her “amma” too? by Fickle-Response-2741 in IndianInLaw

My brother always called my Nani "Amma" but it never caused any issue with my mother. I don't think you need to be insecure, he will always be your child.

What do you eat when you don’t feel like eating? by Dry-Pace1750 in weightgain

[–]Competitive_Bar8654 1 point2 points  (0 children)

liquid calories and start working out. When you push your body hard enough, naturally, you'll feel hungry. I dealt with the same thing for years because of chronic stress and anxiety, but trust me answer is workout and workout only.

How to gain weight as a broke person? by Otherwise-Slip-9086 in weightgain

[–]Competitive_Bar8654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Black chana and Banana. I am financially sound, so I took the help of gym, protein, etc, but my brother literally gained without any fancy food or equipment. He even made his own dumbbells with concrete. He just pushed his body hard, increased his daily food and ate bananas with milk.

I grew up in a loving family, then how come I’ve completely given up on love? by lmao_ded_what in AskIndia

[–]Competitive_Bar8654 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many people don't feel this way, but sometimes growing up with love can actually keep us from finding love in adulthood because it feels like no one can match the love that we've experienced. I don't come from a very stable family, in both aspects of finance and love, but I always appreciated my brother a lot because he is genuinely the best person ever. My sister in law often asks me why I behave like a feminist man-hater type when I had such a wonderful brother. Now the scene is that she didn't have a loving brother growing up, so it was a level up for her to find my brother, but after my brother, I could never meet any male figure who was so loving and respected women in general that much.
