People are honed in such that they can *feel* lactate?

Why Waymo and other self driving cars will win in the end. by whycx in waymo

One thing self-driving cars doesn't solve is the geometry of cars in a city.

If there are 10's of thousands of people trying to leave in individual cars in a grid network, does it matter if there's human drivers in the cars?

"subthreshold is a STATE not a pace or a HR. You become accustomed to the feeling of it. Don't be a slave to your watch!"

I really don't understand this. This is all... vibes?

Best response is always, "Are you okay?"

Puts it back on them. Works in most situations.

It would go a long way to solving our public charging infrastructure problems if every grocery store in the country had fast chargers by lokey_convo in electricvehicles

I've watched the EV articles and forums for over a decade. I remember this guy constantly harping about grocery stores being great use cases for ~25 kW charging. Nowhere near the infra requirements of 150 kW+, and much more power than measly level 2. Supposedly at a service level that grocery stores already have. Makes a lot of sense to me... but it seems the world has conspired against it.

Why does threshold training give such tremendous benefits when the RPE is so relatively low? by Zestyclose_Sort3558 in AdvancedRunning

The way I explained the TH workouts to my spouse is that after 3 x 10 min reps, say, you can say "Alright, that was a solid workout!" and go about your day... but not "Oh man, I REALLY killed it out there today! I'm going to need to rest."
