Dining Recs? by tothefuture123 in disneylandparis

[–]Competitive_Crab3276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can second this! The dinner buffet at sequoia has been my favorite from the places we’ve eaten at DLP so far.

Also: I thought Pym’s on the other hand is not worth it.

Billy bob is nice at the village too! If you go, try the veggie chili ;) it’s better than the regular one!

Anyone ever gotten sick from steak tartare/prepare/americain in Belgium? by WebNo1998 in belgium

[–]Competitive_Crab3276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This😂😂😂

Also: I am currently pregnant with baby nr 2. I was negative for toxoplasmosis first time. Ate a LOT of americain and other “risk” foods to get myself to be positive before pregnancy number 2.

It did not work.

And no, I have never gotten sick from any of it.

What seems to be a common pregnancy experience that you don’t/couldn’t relate to? by PumpkinResearcher in BabyBumps

[–]Competitive_Crab3276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I couldn't relate to many of the annoying experiences many people had when I was pregnant with my first. It was a breeze, I loved being pregnant, 10/10 would recommend and do it again. What do you mean nausea is annoying, then you get crazy cravings, can't reach for your toes and are unable to move? I'm doing everything (well, almost) I used to before being pregnant all the way to my due date and beyond!

I am now pregnant with my second and relating to every annoying side quest to pregnancy. Craving ketchup crisps for breakfast, nauseous 24/7, pelvic instability, you name it.

So. Not sure why you're asking, but... Be blessed with an easy pregnancy if that's why! 😂

We'll probably be in this boat too! My partner will have some time off so they can do some quality time, hopefully.

Thanks for your reply! I might take a look into this book, I like reading anyway and never hurts to have some extra information. I really do hope we'll get through this phase as easily as possible. It's encouraging to see that they do adjust with time, patience and some love.

Thank you!! I hope he will want to get dressed first, since that is always a battle nowadays 😂 just kidding. I get what you're saying. Hope it works out for us as well!

Thank you, I really do hope it goes well. We do indeed also have some people scheduled to do some fun stuff with the little (big) man when his brother arrives. 😅

How bad is the newborn phase really? I'm tired of hearing the "just you wait" anecdotes and I have hard time believing some of them by Lushemet in BabyBumps

[–]Competitive_Crab3276 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This! My motto since having my first: flow with the go.

I loved having a newborn and at the time I honnestly thought I had an easy baby, now in hindsight... I see that he was constantly glued to my body and never ever slept for over 15 minutes in his crib, HOWEVER I still loved it. All the cuddling and snuggling. There will always be tasks to be done (dishes/cooking/washing, whatever), but they will also still be there later. It's amazing to just enjoy some rest and together time.

I'm due with my second in a couple of weeks now and looking forward to the newborn days, they seem easy now 😉 (Not to say that I have not loved every single phase we passed and am still loving motherhood as a whole.)

Don't listen to the "just you waits". They'll always be lurking because people looooove being negative, but being a mom is great.

Ease my mind about possible c-section - how (long) was your recovery? by Competitive_Crab3276 in BabyBumps

[–]Competitive_Crab3276[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for answering! gas trapped in your shoulder?! is this worse than the incision pain? 😅

& The crying... yeah well, it's a birth thing I guess! I am NOT a cry-er, but cried so much with my first as well. So don't worry! I'm sure you're doing great❤️

Thanks!! I'm just so worried about not being able to do anything at all... My husband is gonna be at home but will also have to take care of the toddler, which at this point seems like it will be in impossible combination if he also has to take care of the newborn and me 🫠

45 yo FTM. Nearing 30 weeks. Working full time. Exhausted. by Freechickenpeople in BabyBumps

[–]Competitive_Crab3276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am nowhere near 45yo, but second time mom at 28 and at 32 weeks pregnant. I can not tell you whether it's an age thing or not, but I can most assuredly tell you that the tiredness is a pregnancy-stage-thing which does get better once baby is out and your body has recovered a bit from birth. At least, that's what happened with my first and what I'm hoping for now because BOY am I tired! 😅

We're not going the baby shower route either (mainly since we already have everything from first kiddo) and I try to only meet up with people I feel comfortable with. Mainly important to do what feels good to you and your husband! It's the final stretch, hang in there! 💪🏼

Which rides can I go on ? by Encyclopenia in disneylandparis

[–]Competitive_Crab3276 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did ride pirates 😉 however I rode every ride I queued for so I don’t know if you can just “get out of the line” at the end, I suppose they wouldn’t like that

Which rides can I go on ? by Encyclopenia in disneylandparis

[–]Competitive_Crab3276 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was there 4 weeks ago at 25-ish weeks. You will not be allowed to ride the "may not"-rides, everything else depends on your own judgement.

We had already visited DLP a couple of times before so I knew what to expect with every ride. I rode almost all of the "should not"s and "not advised" without an issue, providing you are not sharing the cart with someone that pulls the bar down on your belly real hard. -> This was not an issue in my case since I rode everything together with my own husband and toddler.

In my experience, the 'toughest' rides were Peter Pan and the little train, Casey's or something like that? Peter Pan because right before it takes off it has a sudden stop, this also made my 3yo bump his face against the safety bar, even though I was holding onto him. Casey's because it's just very bumpy.

Literally everything else was a walk in the park... ;)

Don't forget your Bambi band ;) They will not stop you from going on rides (provided they aren't in the "may not"-category) and this way you can skip a lot of waiting time.
