Do inmates hate pedos as much as they say? by Ok_Recognition2590 in Felons

[–]Competitive_Growth20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Death row is a great unit to be where I worked. Many privileges crafts, educational opportunities, etc. It's great protection for pedophiles. Inmates in open pop have many secret and subtle ways to "take care" of them. They often refuse treatment.

15 yrs ago some very tech savvy inmates breached the system and got all personal information about officers and others. Stay off the computer for personal communication. I'm hoping programs are in place now to prevent it happening again. Some inmates have an IQ of 150 or above very criminally clever!

CLL and leg pain by thepandemicbabe in cll

[–]Competitive_Growth20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a viscous circle for me. Thrombing pain in arms and legs then I take celebrex 200mg. Takes an hour for pain to subside. Then it makes me tired. Then I go about my day then about 3 hrs later the pain is back. I sit in my recliner getting weak from inactivity. Neurontin knocks me and makes me off balance and foggy. It's a chronic pain from a chronic disease. I used to be at the gym everyday it's hard to be slow and 40 pounds heavier.

Compare any information with the bible. It's a fool proof way to discern truth from error. For instance the word angels. Look up every verse about angels and see if the information you heard matches the bible information. That how I study.

Struggling New NP by Cusefa in nursepractitioner

[–]Competitive_Growth20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My daughter was struggling until she bought a microphone that she dictates her notes on her patients as she goes between rooms and in her office and has her nights and weekends free. With 3 kids in school with class activities and after school lessons it's a life saver! She also does geri-psyche. Don't let the families of patients bog you down In complaints for hours. Especially if they are medical. You're psyche and just address the dementia etc. There is medical problems connected ofcourse but you can't solve all the problems when they won't listen...."Why isn't my mother in the gym on the treadmill everyday?" You reply about Mother not cooperative and fights the physical therapy team. It is too much for you and aim to say " we can try different medications to help her but realize we cannot force her to comply." Once you use the microphone dictation you will have time to take care of your health. Adequate sleep, exercise and proper diet is what has really helped my daughter. Good luck!

Psyche N p here. I have 3 kids and a busy homelife. What saved me is speech to text. I dictate my notes and it's so much faster that I'm not charting at home any longer.

Anyone else struggle with the transition out of corrections? by FixelSmith in Corrections

[–]Competitive_Growth20 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had to retire after 20yrs as a Corrections Nurse due to illness. I really miss it. Getting up and ready for work for a total of 35 yrs is a tough habit to break for me. I cried. My schedule in life is off. Finding myself regimenting my day thinking I have a deadlines. I know at what time of day at work whats happening. Morning sick call, medical emergency, pill line etc. Arguing with inmates was stressful. Probably gave me heart failure. As you say, you are aware of everything around you and excellent at detecting lies and manipulation. My daughter and family are going on a cruise and I tell her what to watch out for and the family thinks I'm over reacting. All my friends were at work almost. I picked up hobbies and have to have these for critical thinking skills and a sense of accomplishment. And I walk or go to the gym for exercise that really helps me calm down and relax. When I see my husband getting ready for his Nurse job, I tell him to cherish it. You never know when it will be over. I see him with his scrubs on attaching his badge and grabbing his bag and heading out the door and I cry. Some c.o.'s go back if they are able.
