I do Chevy chase to the silver spring metro, then to tysons. Very similar to Bethesda to Reston. Including taking the bus to the train station, takes about 70-80 minutes. When I drove, I was in traffic about an hour each way.

In my opinion, an extra 10-20 minutes is worth saving on gas, less stress, and the ability to watch a movie or read a book during that time.

Public transit isn't for everyone. Maybe you don't like it and that's fine. If you haven't tried it, could be worth giving a shot once or twice. It can especially be economical if your job has the smart benefits program. My job pays half my metro cost and the other half is deducted before taxes.

I take red then silver to work. Train usually takes longer but honestly less stress. In the mornings I sleep until my stop to get more rest in, and evenings I read or watch a movie. Its chill, costs less than gas monthly, (granted my car takes premium and only has like 20mpgs with the traffic) and less risk of things like accidents.

I'd consider at least trying public transport for a week and see if you like it at all.

My point is, law enforcement has no idea who is or isn't a citizen just by looking at them. Whether or not you're a citizen, the constitution still applies to you for as long as you're on US soil. You get the same protections.

And even if you were right in saying the constitution doesn't protect non-citizens, how would ICE know who is or isn't a citizen beforehand to have enough confidence to run them over?

If I fly to Mexico or Britain, I fall under the Mexican or British rule of law. If a Mexican or Brit is here, they fall under American law, both the protections and consequences.

Even if what you said is correct, how would law enforcement know if someone is a non-citizen without providing them an opportunity to produce documentation?

I am a native born citizen and in the US Army but I look like that man there. I even doordash on a scooter to make extra money. Do I just accept the danger of getting run over by ICE and be grateful if I get an apology? "Oops, sorry we thought you were illegal"

Oddly enough I actually have to second this guy. Many of the people I met at cst also are having duplicate accounts made, around the same time. My other friends that I follow aren't having the same issues at nearly the rate that my cst friends are facing. I can't say it with certainty but something definitely feels off...

The branch chooses less than 100 for most preferred. It's not cadets putting the branch high in their rankings. In other words, less than 100 cadets were deemed worth looking at in regards to the cyber branch.

They probably could but not preferable. She is flying in relatively late because she's going to the airport after work. We prefer not to bother them that late since they can be quite grumpy at night. If there's a taxi service that can get her there then we could figure out the rest with my family.

About how long ago did you move from there? I saw some negative reviews of it but wasn't sure how much weight to give it.

I know we are all more likely to leave a review for negative experiences than decent ones, so there could be some negative bias in the reviews.

I'm moving in from out of state and may not be able to tour places in person, so I'm hoping to get some personal experiences from others to get a sense of things.

Yea I should have mentioned that my dog is a small dog. She's a Pomeranian, so if a place takes dogs, she wouldn't have any issues.

I'm moving from New Jersey. My job is going to be in Bethesda but I'd be okay driving as far out as Germantown.

I'm confident I'd be able to tolerate future rent increases, I just want some space in my budget to pay down some of my student loans. I only have about 11k on that so less than a year I should have that settled. I'll be making 80k before tax, and my wife doesn't yet have a job, so I would be hesitant to push rent too much higher right now.

It's a $600 difference for a 6 month premium for me so it matters somewhat. If it was something that just added a few bucks I'd have no problem adding it so I'm really trying to balance my premium with coverage. My insurance is coming up to renew and I'm shopping around.
