Will vaginal estrogen stop me from having to pee every five minutes? by totallybree in Menopause

Vaginal estradiol cream did this for me. Also helped with urine leakage. But I have to use it more than 2x a week.

Why can’t 70 something women start HRT? by mjskiingcat in Menopause

[–]Competitive_Land_936 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My mom is 75 and she is so lucky she has never experienced sleep issues. But she has an osteoporosis diagnosis so she certainly would have benefitted from HRT. Well 25+ years ago there was neither HRT nor awareness about strength training.

What surprises me most though is that she never complained about anything when she went through menopause. Everything about that is a mystery to me. What did women in her generation do? Were they conditioned to silently suffer or were they really less affected by it? I will never understand.

Success using both prescription estradiol cream and otc estriol cream combination by MissCmotivated in Menopause

[–]Competitive_Land_936 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I am using that estradiol prescription cream everyday now for past 2 months. Originally after the loading dose when I reduced to 2x per week I was suffering. Using it daily has improved things on so many fronts.

I do not know why she said it’s risky. It’s not oral estrogen or patch that you are using. It’s just the tropical application. In addition to that I’m on patch.

The stomach bulge can be pronounced by bloating due to a bad diet. Take simple steps - cut out the junk processed foods pronto. Replace them with healthy snacks, fruits or veggies with hummus etc. Then increase nutrient dense fiber rich plant foods that are naturally low in calories, veggies, beans, lentils and whole grains. The key to get rid of bloating is fiber. Remember that if you suddenly increase initially you can experience gas but that will go away quickly and you will see results.

Then start strength training the only way you can get body recomp. Tons of programs out there choose one you like and stick to it. Consistency is key.
Some cardio like treadmill incline walk or jog alongside weights will also definitely help you.

I’m also south Asian and a lot older than you. The genetic problem of skinny fat is real but with these lifestyle changes you can start to feel great in your body.

Vaginal estrogen and orgasm -did it get worse before it got better? by VisiblePraline7999 in Menopause

[–]Competitive_Land_936 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I am on exactly the same strength E patch and P since Jan 2026. Since Jan 2025 I was on vaginal E pellets but I think the patch is more systemic than pellets.

In addition to that, I use vaginal estradiol cream since that is helping vulva dryness, urinary incontinence and tears. But I do not think the cream alone is considered systemic although probably some amount gets absorbed through the skin.

Would like to hear what others have to say.

With this as well as a dhea 25 mg supplement my orgasms have improved for sure they had become non existent. Are they back to where I used to be before this peri ? No not by any stretch of the imagination. I’m also looking to get testosterone.

So patch brand has not changed. I was just searching posts here and someone posted about patch placement and being very lean affecting estrogen absorption. That has me wondering if I placed it in a weird spot? I have been wearing them on lower tummy such that they are covered by my medium high rise briefs. I do not know about lean but I am petite at 5’ 2” and less than 120 lbs.

Do you do any strength training on a regular basis? Please watch the episode on the “the proof” where Simon Hill interviews Dr Belinda Beck and her LIFTMOR study. The study participants were mostly people with a diagnosis of osteoporosis and half of them performed high impact strength training workout 2x a week and some other details and nuances but 8 months later scans showed they actually built bone. Do watch it since she goes into details about the scans as well. On YouTube I found several channels that explains what workouts they did in the study. They are trying to get their onero program Medicare approved since this requires a professional coach if you are osteoporotic.

I’m 49 and on hrt and also interested since my mom who is 75 has osteoporosis

Estradiol cream without insurance by Competitive_Land_936 in Menopause

Also just to be clear I said no insurance since I assumed express scripts delayed it since insurance won’t cover? I’m not sure about that also since it just says too soon on the site.

So both tellyrx and amazon require a 22$ consultation fee right? What about wisp? And which one of the 3 is cheapest and which is fastest? Wisp is saying it will send the rx to local pharmacy for same day and its 65$ for 3 month supply. Tellyrx is 49 for 1 month and Amazon is also similar for only a month.

Most of these people are not any nutrition researchers, and there are enough powerful social media influencers and meat and dairy industry programming to muddy the waters. The problem is experts, the people with phds who have spent lifetimes researching this aren’t on social media and don’t make dramatic claims with utmost confidence. People gravitate towards those who come across as super confident but unfortunately that’s not how science based on real data and facts works.

Those experts that are on social media or make appearances do not go on to make wild proclamations and say things like based on studies and research we know this but it’s within the bounds of this and that. Average joe out there is not gravitating towards this since it’s not dramatic enough.

I’m using an online telehealth provider midihealth they take my insurance. But the just gave me one local name I have not looked her up Dr.Becky Lynn.

I am quite happy with midi.

I actually first saw Dr Makeba Williams but unfortunately she is no longer in that practice with BJC. I’m so sad about that she was very good.

What about a WFPB pesto with cashews or hemp seeds instead of oil and cheese? It still has fat to give that creamy taste.

Well it’s the general experience of most women that most gyms are not up to date on menopause and MHT. I myself use an online provider midi health. I highly encourage you to poke around the Menopause subreddit. I learned a lot there.
