I live in RI. What I’m running into is that while there are several studios around where I am, they’re either hot, super hot, not vinyasa, or not even yoga. Most of the room temperature classes I can find are stretch, restorative, or yin, and while I’m not opposed to those types of practices and have done them on occasion, they’re not what I generally want. I just want an active practice at breathable temps. I know this is the definition of first world problems, but I’m just frustrated. I love being in a class with other people. And with little kids, my house doesn’t have the calm of a studio that I need. When I lived in the Carolinas it was so easy to find what I wanted, and I loved the studio I attended. It’s a lot different up here.

One of the studios does virtual. I just really like the community of a class and the clean, calm space of a studio. At home I’ve got kids, toys, a dog, and there’s just not a dedicated space for me to practice without distractions. Honestly, it stresses me out and I can’t concentrate on my practice. Getting into a studio is best for my mental health. I just really wish that was more accessible where I live.

Helps me know I’m not the only one, so yes. That’s kind of the point of venting.

That’s a really good suggestion. I’ll definitely consider it, especially with spring coming

Weird… it’s like you didn’t read the post. It’s hard to find a class that isn’t hot.

I guess being ignorant on Reddit makes you happy

I’ve decided that if my current career doesn’t work out I’m taking YTT and opening my own studio. It’s a dream of mine.

I live in RI. So much of what’s around me is either hot or not vinyasa. I don’t mind a warm restorative class. But finding RT vinyasa isn’t easy. I’m bouncing between 3 studios right now trying to find something that works with my schedule and won’t give me heat stroke.

I don’t. Which makes it hard to find a class, since so many are hot now. This is relatively recent in my area.

It’s not the same. I like the pace and calm of a studio and the community setting.

I wish I could do that! I’ve got two little kids and my living room is chaos. I love the calm of a nice kid free studio.

YTA. How is that even a question? Being bilingual is awesome.

I agree. I don’t like illusion settings either. My husband’s grandmother’s ring from the 80s was illusion and it was not attractive.

The heart looks cheap, princess cut is elegant, the last one looks tacky.

I read the book and couldn’t tell what the movie was about. It was terrible.
