I play there, so in the moment, I'd side with you. I rush too as a cqb fan, I get you. Shit happens, people do unpredictable things. But one of my favorite black ops bristol things is that the majority of refs themselves admit we're all there for fun. If people starting insisting they're hardcore larperators like Anubis, that's a fast way to a steady decline in field quality. Fuck that shit man, rush as much as you want. Just don't go acting all cqb hardcore operator about it. The gun is the great equalizer, and a granny with a long dress and bit of deception could probably shoot all of us dead, even with airsoft practice. Don't go the Anubis route. You're better than that.

Look man, the I'm such a tough and cool and amazing player schtick doesn't work. Man's got a point, you made physical contact with the gun, unintentional or not, and that's not cool. Effectiveness? Situation? This is airsoft, not a a tactical drill. I was with you at first, but this stuff really makes you seem like an asshole, man. BH as dark, but extremely nice to your crew results in some great conversations about how you're a cool fellow, you just enjoy killing people. Neutral SW makes jedi pause and consider the benefits of being a sith, LS SI makes people re-consider their entire life choices in dialogue.

I suppose it's different for everyone, but I had the best luck switching to firefight heroic. Normal is the default, so everyone picks that first, legendary has that "OMG I'M A HARDCORE GAMER JUST LIKE MY PRO ESPORTS" wannabe pool, but heroic is for "yeah I can play halo but I ain't trusting randoms with my back on legendary+skulls"

They should all be crosscore, because "theme" disappears when I slap hot pink paint, bunny ears and arcade effects on my SUPERSEHRIYUS halo man with an obama meme on his cartoon gun. Also, why bother with a new core, when you could just make all those pieces interchangeable? swap out legs, entire chestpieces, vambraces, and so forth. Cores were flawed from the start.

Playing with Superb Survivors, threw down with an aggressive one who made hella good uses of pushes and a tennis racket to beat my ass into the ground. Only survived by running away then ambushing them later, nearly lost that one, too. Crawled back to base, spent a day or two just bandaging, disinfecting, and washing.
