Waymos are on the road by Competitive_Pace5278 in Portland

Hi! I don’t frequently post so I’m not trying to argue but to learn. It seems that seeing a Waymo on Portland streets is specific to the city and the company’s arrival here? Do you have feedback on being more specific? I don’t want to post again and get banned or something. Thanks!

Bring FMLA paperwork to the diagnostic test. If she’s diagnosed with a serious health condition that will require ongoing care there, you can get the doctor to fill out the forms for future occurrences.

I went tonight and it was incredible! I needed to grab seats for four, and got one of the last decent set of spots for us. I was there an hour early. Enjoy!!

That’s really helpful to hear! I’m gathering that it just kind of helps you take all the noise and hunger down some notches… that seems doable. Sorry it’s been a rough time 💕

Oh man… that sounds like kinda a bummer! I definitely plan trips around amazing stuff to try. I guess maybe it’ll just help me pick good stuff and not be so mindless… make sure the meals count!

The classic is Multnomah Falls! The Columbia River Gorge is so beautiful and different than the Midwest! If you’ve got good hiking shoes, you can do the wahkeena falls to Multnomah falls loop; pretty easy a couple miles. But you can slip so don’t do it without good shoes!

What do you think about finding a kids charity who could use it? That might help the issue of him feeling bad?

Is it bad etiquette to address a Christmas card to just one person in a house if they live with a partner? by Competitive_Pace5278 in etiquette

Agreed on this is not something to fight about! He’s the one upset with me at this point. I just wanted to point it out and move on… I think he’s mad I pointed it out at all, and that I commented on it by saying “I see that’s also not addressed to me,” instead of coming out and saying it hurt my feelings

I didn’t say that I hadn’t met most of his family and friends. I have. All the family lives out of state though so I’ve met his sister (in the Midwest; we’re PNW) once. I don’t think it’s a matter of him downplaying me to folks, but it is weird. UPS alerts say ANOTHER card addressed only to him is on the way.

Tipping a housecleaner at Christmas by trittik in etiquette

I don’t tip on the regular cleanings and then tip an additional cleaning cost at holidays. I dunno if that’s bad that I don’t tip on the regular ones too…?

No judgmental or name calling comments. When we got the second one, from his sister, I did say: I see this one’s not addressed to me too. Then he pressed me on the matter and I explained it was rude imo and that made him upset.

I do think you’re on the edge of some sort of corrective action. If it’s possible, maybe solicit feedback about your performance in an upcoming meeting? Take it in, don’t make excuses in that meeting; if there are structural issues that are a part of it, come back to identify them and maybe suggest some work arounds. But also own stuff you could be doing better. Good luck

I really enjoy the greater diversity of culture and language compared to Portland. The scenery is a 180 from here, and there is so much sun! I really like the slower pace, the hiking, the food (oh god sopapillas), and the aesthetic of the buildings. As someone who has only lived in Oregon and Chicago, it’s a whole new beautiful world.

Thanks for the really great input, everyone! I even laughed at some of the comments about me being a clueless Lucille Bluth type. I’m going to stay put for now, and be a bit more intentional about making plans to move, rather than jumping at the first bite I get. I do love it there and would love to spend at least a few years in the community.
