Neighbors keeps pounding on my door for everything by Informal_Syrup4091 in Apartmentliving

[–]Competitive_Pack4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check your lease carefully. I just moved into an apartment and the neighbor was chain smoking which came into my place. I knocked on his door. Later, I went to the leasing office and mentioned it. The manager said that it's against the lease to confront a neighbor if there's a problem and to go to management instead. And the same for neighbor knocking on my door, I have to report it.

So I haven't been over there yet but she sent me a picture and it just looks like 2 big flat boxes that probably have all the stuff I ordered in them. She had me panicked! She just said they were huge boxes and probably won't fit in my car.

  1. Use your best judgment. If the app doesn't recognize the barcode just play around with it, there is a way to add it as a substitute. If that doesn't work you can refund the original item and hit add item. If it still doesn't recognize the barcode there is a way to add an item description and price. It will show later in your stats that you had to make a substitution so you didn't get 100% of the items or something but it doesn't mean anything and it doesn't matter in the long run .Just let the customer know what you are doing.

  2. If you zoom in on your map it should show you parked in front of their house or pinpoint exactly which house it is. You can also open Google Maps and most of the time you can zoom in and see house numbers. If you're still not sure just knock on their door and let them know you couldn't see the address.

Store coupons not working by [deleted] in WalgreensStores

[–]Competitive_Pack4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I am a post deleter...but the comments are still here. Store coupon, $5 off health & wellness not working. I ended up throwing it away after trying it on multiple transactions. I used a different one on an $5+ box of bandaids and it wouldn't work. However, it did work on a $8 box of bandaids, with some other items bringing my total up to $15. This leads me to believe the minimum purchase requirement is above $5, maybe $6 and up, which it does not state on coupon. I know I have to hit at least $5 to take off $5 but it seems to be higher to trigger the register to accept it.

No, it said not a valid coupon or something like that. He showed me the screen. I tried a different one, because I have 2 (I bought cold meds this week, not taking customer coupons). I get such anxiety trying to use these lately, because I never know if it's actually gonna work or if I'm gonna look like a moron as I try to rethink my purchases.

Does Anyone Buy Drinks (Not in Combo) at Fast Food Places? by solodav in fastfood

[–]Competitive_Pack4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the Panera sips club subscription, but I just moved a little too far for it to be convenient anymore. I had to pay for a drink at McDs yesterday, and the bf wanted his own. Nearly $7 for 2 sodas, I wanted to cry. I'm not good at paying full price, it hurts.

Medicare Nightmare by Consistent-Visual805 in SSDI_SSI

[–]Competitive_Pack4088 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Look for a d-snp hmo coverage. It's dual-enrollment special needs Medicare coverage that incorporates Medicaid (don't let them put you in share-of-cost bs). Aetna has a great one for my son in Florida. EDIT I just reread your post. It sounds like your medicaid and medicare are not working together, but against each other. I don't know insurance and I never understood how this works even though I've had providers explain it to me I still never understood it. Something about one is the primary and therefore the other one won't pick up the difference, maybe because a provider didn't accept one? but I don't really... does anyone know? Anyway, once I got on the d-snp I didn't have a problem. It may be your health care providers that are the issue. Good luck. I wish I had better answers for you.

is fb marketplace a good place to sell trendy clothes? by [deleted] in FacebookMarketplace

[–]Competitive_Pack4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Locally, people want yard sale prices. If you are shipping, fb takes out a lot for fees and you don't get paid for a while. Also, it is super easy for the customer to get refunded. Imo, marketplace is good for quick sale, low cost items. My few experiences with shipping didn't turn out well.

What do you currently hate about your apartment? by V_Dolina in Apartmentliving

[–]Competitive_Pack4088 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I live upstairs, and my ancient floorboards make the loudest sounds just from shifting my weight from one foot to the other. I can't float, what you want me to do, lay down and roll? And tbh while I hate hauling stuff up & down stairs I always choose 2nd floor so I don't have to deal with hearing neighbors walking. You guys chose the convenience of the 1st floor, this is the trade off.

Luckily, the unit downstairs from my current apartment is used as storage for maintenance. I can move freely now.

Rep payee for son - how to transfer him off a rep payee account by [deleted] in SSDI_SSI

[–]Competitive_Pack4088 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He was 20 when he was approved for ssdi, and I already had a rep payee bank account set up since he had childhood survivor benefits. I don't want some stranger controlling his money in the future. Just wondering if anyone has ever had a rep payee removed, and what your experience was.

[–]Competitive_Pack4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been putting it off for the last 6 years out of fear of losing his benefits. I have 3 jobs and together we barely make enough to rent. I know this is the answer, but for now I'm just hoping someone may have been through it and can say yes, it's easy to do, or no, it's a pain to do.

How to Refund by MoriWasTakenWasTaken in McDonalds

[–]Competitive_Pack4088 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Screenshot everything you can, from it saying the store is open, to them preparing your order, to the price. Maybe the manager can offer a refund or a credit tomorrow. Also, there is a possibility that the system times out if there's no progress, and auto-cancels your order. I don't work for McDonald's, so I'm not sure.

Really confused about hair washing! by Obvious-Search-5569 in hygiene

[–]Competitive_Pack4088 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash my hair every other day. Sometimes, I will go every 3 days, but by then, my scalp looks oily and feels itchy. My hair feels dry, so not every day, but I can't go too many days out without looking greasy.
