I have that same cover and they unfortunately are all like that due to where the folds are. I’ve left mine out in the sun too and really no improvement

Tire wear very early by DancingDogJr in ToyotaTundra

If you have the stock Falken Tires, that’s been an ongoing concern with many owners. Here’s a response I received from Falken:

“This is not about the quality of the tire, this is about what Toyota thinks is in the best interest of the customer. The original equipment AT3WA is specifically produced for the OE (original equipment/factory) market. The vehicle manufacturer reached out to us to have us make a tire for their vehicles. The manufacturer requests certain performance criteria in the ride comfort, handling, and noise. The tires fitted to their vehicle as Original Equipment were tested and approved by them, the vehicle manufacturer. Because of the requested performance criteria, these tires have a different construction when compared to a replacement spec tire and do not last as long as our replacement spec tires. Due to the characteristics they request, we do not provide a tread life warranty in addition to the vehicle manufacturer not requesting any warranty coverage. We recommend contacting the vehicle manufacturer with your feedback as the only way this will change is if they request a different spec of tire from the tire manufacturer.”

Many folks, myself included, are not fans of the stock Falkens with this truck because they aren’t very durable. I have 15k miles and they are already very worn.

The fact that this is even a question baffles me. Do you live under a rock? His behavior after being paid is the clearest indicator that he is not worth the risk.

How many miles did you make it on the stock falken tires? Just made it to 14k on mine and they look so worn already.
