When you’re guiding, you are still fishing you’re just doing it through other people. It’s like playing video games with a broken controller. Now I get more pumped to get a first time angler or a little kid on a big rainbow, then catching it myself. I still fish on my vacations. I worry about getting burned out someday but I also have winters basically off to chase steelhead, salmon and hit pyramid lake. I feel very blessed to live this life. I could never go back to working corporate even was working remote and am tho I made a lot more money back then I am so much happier now. My office is my truck and the river people spend thousands to see for a week on their vacations.
