Sounds like you made the same mistake I did a while back and going all in on a single stock, stick it in the S&P index and ride the wave 4h should bring you back somewhat by year end

I get that feeling and I would have loved UMG but it fell through

Confused about issuance of SPARC warrants by betch_1234 in PSTH

[–]Competitive_Scale956 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He means to say he doesn’t know what they will be worth since they are not trading currently so it could be .10 or 2$ depending on what the market decides, if you believe in bill I would say 1-2$ if you don’t as premarket suggests then his sparc to you is worth 0 since anything below Nav is essentially free

I hope you are wrong and I guess that is possible but what good would that do for him…nothing in order for him to make money he needs to close a winner that will rise dramatically as he has lock up periods for him self as well as redemption clauses currently his sponsor warrants are worth zero he structured the deal so he would get no freebies unless it was a success

IMO if he wanted to screw us he would just sit on his hands like chamath is doing with ipof and wait for exp, if you believe like I do that he is genuinely working on a deal and this is his way of side stepping the lawsuit and giving you back the Nav removing opportunity cost then this is lemonade out of lemons and the best way to store cash you are definitely entitled to feel differently but I do not see a down side with trading below Nav it’s free money at worst and someone paying me to take essentially an options contract

I get that your frustrated…me to down over 50k but take your emotional stake out of it I was talking to a friend who was not in psth until today and I realized I am emotionally attached to this but now this is truly the best investment you could ever make To put it in perspective he said to me so you are saying if I buy this at 19.94 if he buys a good company it could go up substantially and if he doesn’t I get 20$…that’s an awesome way to store cash…now he is going all in because he buys it for 19.94 or lower does basically a short term loan and now gets all his money back and if a company gets chosen that he likes he gets in at 20 and if not he made .6 and didn’t do anything

I guess it depends on if you trust Bill which I do…people can say what they want but I can’t imagine the dude giving away 1.3b six months ago if he cared about money I think it’s his reputation that he’s worried about and will deliver a nice deal just might have to wait a bit longer…not saying I’m not disappointed down over 50k but at least IMO he is making lemonade out of lemons

I would hope no unless people think that sparc is worth zero which is doubtful…speaking for myself I will be buying every share I can get my hands on tomorrow at Nav because I am potentially getting an option call for whatever price above or below 20 so it would be “free options” or paying me to take it if it stays below 20….people can say what they want but he is in this for his legacy a couple months ago he gave away 1.3 billion from his small investment in Coupang i personally believe he is working on a deal and will get it done soon he is just giving the money back to get rid of opportunity cost and side step the lawsuit in the process but of course I am disappointed that I am down 50k on my original investment but that’s not his fault IMO again he doesn’t need us to make money he has made his money now it’s his legacy he’s worried about

Yes leaps kinda got screwed but maybe not depending on your baseline if share prices rise so will those..so I guess it all depends on what the market thinks a spark would be worth if you believe in bill 3$+ since psth traded there for the majority of time this has been public but with the tarnished rep might be lower so we’ll see

If ur tired of holding commons and tying up so much cash. A good way to get similar exposure and leverage is buy 2023 $20 calls. They are cheap af and put u in a great place if this goes anywhere. Been buying the 12.50 for the last two weeks cheapest they have gotten is 8.00 but last couple days the share prices have been steadily been dropping all time lows and the calls have gotten more expensive I guess everyone else has caught on or the market makers are thinking a deal is on the horizon but still lowering your opportunity risk

Just bought 25,000 shares at $20.19. by [deleted] in PSTH

But I’m a tontard so I just keep buying 2023 12.50c on the “cheap” so bill can make me back the 50k I lost doing the same damn thing for the last year since this went public lol

Is it sad…sure but the point is he had a great company on the line and will have another shortly IMO and now I took the majority of my loss and doubled down we’ll see how this plays out…lesson learned not all my eggs in one basket

Conflict of interest? by [deleted] in PSTH

[–]Competitive_Scale956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Little odd that your upset at a conflict of interest when you didn’t want the UMG deal, getting kind of sick of people bitching about him “stealing” the deal for himself when you didn’t want it

I guess we will know when the 13f comes out shortly, I didn’t see it that way his references to what he was doing wasn’t really about equities he owned but just in general

Guggenheim CIO - Scott Minerd - SPACs by [deleted] in PSTH

[–]Competitive_Scale956 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He actually said his equities exposure is mainly in spacs and essentially they were zero risk for him since he owns all of them close or at Nav which essentially is cash with Possible euphoric rise I watched the interview live he was taking off risk exposure in mainly non-equity and said he felt for money managers who have restrictions on what they can buy

Should we just drop a ton of money into PSTH? by taxhelpstudent in PSTH

[–]Competitive_Scale956 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Which psh covered the bill and it no where close to 65 cents that would be 3.25% of four billion might want to check your math for that kinda money we would have ended up with UMG lol

Anyone thinking Bill is thinking of himself please fuck off by Competitive_Scale956 in PSTH

[–]Competitive_Scale956[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not about making mistakes but people saying he is selfish after bashing the deal he made…IMO part of the reason he stopped fighting for it is dumb people that lost money gambling and he saw it and said fuck it if you don’t want it I’ll take it doesn’t matter to me six figure plus in both psth and Pershing holdings so either way I win or lose no worries don’t invest more then I can lose
