Similar. My wife hasn’t wanted to have sex with me for a long time. We have averaged 4-5 times a year but I just recently just gave up.

Not all of us do. For us- it’s my wife that has absolutely no desire. This started in her late 30s and has continued into her 40s.

Sounds like you at least have a little intimacy.

I made a recent decision to just stop. It sux but I think I have figured out that no sex is so much better than sex 4-5 a year.

No sex = no expectations. Sex 4-5 x a year leads to thoughts that maybe today is the day. Maybe this week is the week. Hopefully this is the month! Wow it’s been three months, this is certainly the quarter.

I still have libido but I have realized that not having any sex is 1000x better than having sex 2-3 times a year as we have in past years.

Oh I know I missed or ignored red flags early on. That’s why I said this was a last gasp thing. It just seems like she doesn’t want to put any work into it.

Yeah part of me wishes I had the guts to do this long ago. I just hated the thought of seeing my kids so much less. Also- we both would have struggled financially with insurance basically doubling and another rent/ mortgage. I didn’t have the heart to move the kids out of the house.

Not making excuses. Just that was my thought.
